SE SOTD, Tue, May18th 2021, I did a few maneuvers with the Excalibur over the last few days like the Excalibur side(Gillette slide), J hooking + buffing with no issues. I picked up the speed of the strokes also today and no issues with that maneuver, non threatening nice shaves with not a lot of aggression feel IMO makes a good daily driver for some folks.
    .
Razor: Yaqi Excalibur-Mfg 2021, great mid range, easy to roam the face for a reasonable carefree shave, no Drama of a shave if a person has reasonable technique easy going IMO.
Soap: Razorock XXX, nice clean scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Red Zebra 26 mm, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips + gentle scrub + excellent lather painter.
Blade: Feather Professional AC - sharp & smooth, longevity ?.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + a blemish weeper = [IMG]excellent shave with my Yaqi SE Excalibur with a Feather pro.

    Tuesday May 18th SOTN

A wonderful and relaxing shave before bed tonight. The Taiga never disappoints - especially with the Ti Handle. Last shave on the Perma-Sharp - no bother... I wonder what new blade will come forth tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

    Happy Healthy Shaves all.

    WEDNESDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Alberto Morillas & Annie Buzantian
    [IMG][IMG]

Bath Soap - Lucky Girl Boutique's Pure Body Delights "Tommy Boy"
    Fragrance - Tommy Hilfiger
Aftershave - Catie's Bubbles '95 Liquid Labels Tonic
Shave Soap - Catie's Bubbles '95 Liquid Labels Luxury Shave Soap Formula
Deodorant - Lucky Girl Boutique's Pure Body Delights "Tommy Boy"
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Post-Shave Balm - Advanced Clinicals Anti-aging Hyaluronic Acid Cream
Razor - Antique Gillette ABC "Empire" Razor circa 1908-1912 (fully restored/re-plated by Razor Emporium)
Blade - Derby Premium *2nd Shave
Razor Stand - ThinkGeek Executive Knight Pen Holder
Brush - London Cutlers Antique Silver Modified Synthetic Boar Hair
Brush Stand - Jac Zagoory's Butterfly Pen Stand
Soap Bowl - Paul Revere silver plated replica sugar bowl

***EDIT - 2 passes + very minor clean up. A couple of weepers and I went to the alum just in case I got damaged, but surprisingly, not much sting as I had expected. The Derby Premium blade tugged multiple times on this 2nd shave of its life in this razor. So, another blade bites the dust. I'm forced into having to go back again to the obscure and rare Gillette "Spoiler" blade as it seems to be the one that shaves best so far (and even it isn't perfect). This is just a demanding razor both on the blade and on the shaving technique.

I've not had good experiences with Derby blades. It and the Van Der Hagen blades seem to just be "bad" blades in my opinion. I just don't get comfortable shaves with them.
