That's true. My Dads old brush had a small knot .

The synthetic was just under 20mm and I had to widen the opening a little to squeeze it in........

You are welcome. I tried spending time to where it would not look like a fuel tank. Take care.

You must be some kinda tree hugger. At least @9nein9 ain't pouring Clubman down the drain like @jtspartan. :happy102:

I believe most have a coin or washer in the bottom as I drilled them plenty deep, iirc. Drilling is easy enough too. 1 1/8" sawtooth or forstner would be ideal.
They are held with marine grade silicone, I never use epoxy. Therefore, yes, you probably will be able to get it out smoothly. Just be careful not to put too much lateral force on the knot coming out, as it can crack the wood. That can be fixed too, though!

Thank you for the Shake Sharp comparison and pics, Dave. Very informative. Do you leave both your DE blades whole? Both new and sharp? Or one old one trimmed and used just for thickness? On top or bottom?

A great, automatic shave, Clint. Looking forward to your Bay Rum/Deep Six focus. We have those same bamboo mats as well, just a little browner. Lets hope our SWMBOs never go shopping for housewares together, I suspect...

I use my compost (2 decent sized composters) for vegetable gardening...I would never even contemplate dumping Clubman into one. Carrots tasting of Pinaud might just about do me in.:rolleyes005:

Great job on the handle, Danny. Very precise work. Looks great with your Delrin brush as well.

Very nice, Jim. The GC is just a quality shaver and I love those RR radio knob handles, too. Haven't seen that software in awhile. Come up with another soap to focus on finishing yet?

Sounds like a razor for a pro, Blair. Love Spalted wood- so very unique across the different types of wood. The scent sounds nice as well. A very nice gift indeed.

I was about to comment that I can't wait for you to have some time to make some of yours, and then I realized I haven't been in the lathe room in 3 months and I decided to just 'ferme la bouche'.

Joseph, what are you referring to that you say wasn't a double-negative from me? Oh, never mind-the "not dissimlar". We have "not" and "dis". I'd say it is.
