    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Nivea Men ~ Power Fresh Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears ~ Transparent Bar Soap With Mint Extracts. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: La Toja Shave Stick.
    Blade : Gillette 7 o'clock SE yellow. (D1)
    Razor : Pearl SBF-11.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils +3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling PSB./La Toja ASL.

    Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend...Continuing with my run of Russian DE blades...The Gillette 7 o'clock SE yellow is another blade from the St. Petersburg plant.

The SharpEdge i find equally efficient as the Gillette Nacet with a less smoother feel to them, I prefer smoothness over sharpness in a DE blade.. That said, like a lot of DE blades, after the first pass it started to feel smoother....It's also been a while since i last used them ,which take a few shaves for me to get reacquainted with them again.

An enjoyable 3 pass +pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a generous splash of La Toja ASL.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

    Brush: eagle reknotted
    Soap: shaving frosting Eucalyptus tea
    Post: lavender witch hazel

So i found this most wonderful amazing shaving frosting. A little goes a looooong way and just drinks and drinks and drinks.. the lather is silky , soft, smoooth and creamy. Now i may have gotten a reaction to it, im not sure if its that or my skin still irritated from my last shave. Im bbs smooth and my skin feels soft, smooth and a little irritated but it feels good

Razor - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Starling V2"
Blade - Personna GEM Stainless Steel Coated *3rd Shave
Shaving Soap - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Garden of Bali"
Lather Brush - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "The Solar Flare"
Scuttle - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Moonscape Scuttle
Aftershave/Fragrance - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Garden of Bali"

***EDIT - 2 pass shave with minor clean up. I got a small amount of irritation and redness from the shave. I again have gone to the Alum Block to continue treating my acne breakouts in an attempt to help them heal and reduce in size (along with a tiny amount of benzoyl peroxide). The Alum Block stinging feedback told me that I over-shaved some (unlike yesterday which it told me I was perfect). The aftershave splash normally doesn't sting after alum, but this time it did, which again confirms that I pushed things a bit. I am feeling really smooth though. The Garden of Bali scent is fantastic. Loving the scent.

I'm developing an opinion on this razor after multiple shaves over months. I think the Starling needs more mass/weight in the design. I constantly have to compensate by applying pressure, which is counter to my normal practice of letting the razor's weight do the work. The Starling actually requires developing a large change up. Also, the blade maybe gets 3 uses max as a result because the lack of weight means even slight resistance on the cut of the blade seems like tugging, even though, if there was more razor-weight, the blade would still cut well. So, it ends up that only the sharpest/newest blades seem to cut well with it. As single-blade razors go, I really prefer the antique GEM travel razor and the OneBlade razor. The Starling is a bit of a challenging shave. Feels more like I'm scraping than shaving. I still enjoy variation though, so I'll keep the razor. It's just one of my least favorites.

This morning, as I entered the light-filled bathroom, I was greeted by a fantastic scent of wax.
Once a year I have my furniture waxed to protect it, and when this happens, the scent of the rooms takes me back to my childhood, when the furniture was made of wood and not of strange polyurethane coated agglomerates.

And in this leap back in time, I shaved with a spring scented soap and very pleasant music.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Fuzzy Catcher 3D Printed Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thank you. I just have a master list and delete the items not used. It’s easy that way. The shavette gave me a couple of nicks today. That is a tough razor for me to walk away unscathed from, but I like the challenge.

Razor: Gillette Fatboy E4- Mfg- 1959 4 qtr, excellent adjustable, easy to load, nice weight, some blade overhang.
Blade: Rapira platinum lux(3)- excellent blade, sharp & smooth reasonable longevity.
Soap: Razorock Countryside, mild scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Aqua High Mountain silvertip badger, great lather generator, soft tips, nice scrub + excellent lather painter. 1st time using a badger, a dense hair packed brush, Yaqi best brush for pricing! Need a few more shaves to enjoy the best of the brush IMO.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(S-7) + ATG(S-8) + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 weeper = [IMG] excellent shave with my Gillette 1959 Fatboy with a Rapira lux blade.
