Wednesday May 26th SOTN

Went with another 3 Dot Hiram shave tonight with a Schick proline of indeterminate age. Yeah I know... why do I do this?? Because I’m too lazy to check back and see.

How was it? Pretty good but not perfect as I needed to go over a couple areas too much and I should’ve gone down to the 2 Dot plate. TBF, I ended up with a pretty close shave without too much fuss. I obtained a fresh blade and swapped out plates in anticipation of tomorrow .

Prep: Warm shower:/ Nivea Men ~ Power Fresh Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears ~ Transparent Bar Soap With Mint Extracts. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush: Lider Turkish Boar.
Face Lather.
Lather : Derby Shave Stick.
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock SE yellow. (D4)
Razor: Lord L125.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils. +3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Duru ~ Mandarin Cologne /Arko ~ Comfort ASB.

Early morning shave,

Last outing of the Gillette 7 o'clock SE Yellow still feeling super smooth, cutting through my stubble effortlessly maintaining a smooth sharp efficient edge with each shave. Another great blade that i will add more to my blade rotation. Pairing together with the Egyptian made Lord razor superbly.

A Enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop Arko ~ Comfort ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The Vintage Life Licorice Shave Soap lathered well with the Olivewood Silvertip Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Fat Handle Old Type Frankenrazor with a Personna Super blade (50) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

A very frustrating morning looking for a misplaced item but eventually I was able to calm down and have a nice shave. Seems I spend much of my life looking for something I just had yesterday or even a few minutes ago.

I pulled out my mug of vintage Williams and decided to use a bowl to lather since it would give me a little more room to work. I normally just work the mug but today I wanted to see just what I could do with a good stiff boar, the right amount of water, and a little elbow grease. I put a few drops of Old Spice Burley cologne on top of the puck (since it's original scent is long gone), added a bit of hot water, and then floated the mug in hot water while I showered. I worked the puck over the bowl and then went to bowl for about a minute and a half for a pretty darn good lather. I should probably mention that my water hardness is 23/24 gpg.



Three passes and a touchup and I'm good for the day.

No way can I get any smoother than this - three passes left me completely BBS. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo smells so gorgeous, it’s a beef tallow soap with awesome lather that’s so rich as well as slick, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and you can’t get better skincare. The Glacial Unscented balm gave me lots of extra freeze along with its soothing, moisturizing care, and the Rubby Dubby Doo froze the crap out of me. What a delightful shave!
