Couldn’t agree more... they just shave so naturally around the neck. :eatdrink047:

Not at all, just a beautiful design.

No doubt that it is a quite special design, however isn’t it tricky to hone and strop?

It is not as bad as it may look. A little roll to the stroke and the bevel stayed even. It was actually enjoyable to concentrate on the undercut.

I like to use my thinner strops... those thin Dovo, less than 2” ones, work nicely.

Today I honed this Griffon. Again, with my Naniwa stones.

Ok, how about to shave with it? Seems like you only can use a part of the edge to shave with? Risk for cuts?

Tom, have you tried a roo strop? They’re extremely thin and flexible. I have a 3” that cups slightly that’s great on smiling razors.

I haven't really experienced any issues, but it is different. Like Glen said above, it works really well in the hollows of the neck... just seems to "fit."
Now, if you are trying to get straight lines on your sideburns or around facial hair... that does get tricky :)

I will check that out. I have an old SRD roo strop... will see how that does.

Tres Hombres, EDV Neiström Eskilstuna, Emil A Carlsson Eskilstuna, Rabinor Tagore Nobel Preis. Marked with “Diamant Stål” in Swedish means Diamond Steel. Quite fun razor, the envelope looks like a travel toothbrush...

    Curly’s Ideal Frame Back.

started with Norton fine India then progressed to Ark soft then Surgical Black. Got a nice edge after four layers of tape to knock out some nicks in the blade toward to the toe. Nice smooth edge. Little sucker hit me since the scales don’t hold the blade in place well. Guess it’s blooded to me now.

This morning I honed and shaved with two razors: a Geo.Wostenholm and a New England Razor Company. Both are excellent shavers. Each got to take half the face and both sides are BSS.

Without a ball peen hammer, how would I go about that?

Well, with a small Ball Peen Hammer. They can be found cheaply, and can make a PITA razor an enjoyable razor.
