    We are...especially my son.

We were really interested in the tractor after my son was talking with the man he bought it from. He had purchased it from a family of the original owner who bought the tractor new and he had passed away. The guy we got the tractor from was going to fix the tractor up and had even ordered a few small parts for it. It was a bigger project then he was wanting to deal with and finally realized it. He works on smaller tractors. He had told us this tractor was used for belt work to pull a saw mill and a grits mill. After looking the tractor over I believe him. The steering is tight, no wear on the draw bar and the hydraulics appear to never had been hooked up.

There is also a lot of fine saw dust around the radiator and on front of the engine.

That’s a cool history to know behind the tractor. Grits... yum! I’ve visited a few old grain mills during my life. Those mill stones are amazing to watch.

    Cool stuff.

My next door neighbor was a collector of vintage tractors since he was young. I wish I had seen all of them. He had started selling them off near the time I moved here. His most prized piece was a beautifully restored 2 cylinder JD that he said he’d never sell. It would always come out on Sundays )weather permitting) and go popping up and down the road a bit. He did that until his health started failing. It was in the garage till years later when he and his wife had passed on. Two of the greatest neighbors one could ask for.

Love the picture and you have definitely had a learning curve with the R48. Having to apply pressure would totally throw me off.

Hope your weekend is going your way, Clint.

Your Honor, I swear I have no recollection of the incident and have never seen anything so disgusting in my entire life.

    Thanks, Danny.
Cool and wet this weekend. All my cooking will be indoors most likely.

Thanks Danny. I will go for 16 tomrrow afternoon before I get ready for church. I will have a 30 hr stubble and will be using my Ukrainian soap and the brush with your Delrin handle to do the job. I will end it with the Veg.
