Excellent first run with the Dixie, Danny! Congrats.
Sharp Dressed Man, ahhh... like taking a leisurely stroll through the countryside of Western Tuscaloosa County. ;)

I might take another look at Sharp Dressed Man, now that Doc Ezlovan has improved the product from earlier times when SDM was complained about, regarding the chemical persuasion of the thing. The Doc has since removed the chemical "additive".

    Excellent, Clint!
I've been tempted to buy that Godrej cream online in the past, but I am waiting until I see it inside a local Indian Grocery to purchase it in person...my search continues.

Excellent shave, Dave! I love the looks of that brush.
Congrats on felling that tree. It sounds like a tough project.

I enjoy Skin Bracer as well, Paul. I may have to use it soon this month.

Great shave and awesome job on your first honing job. You got the razor to shave and that's a great milestone. If the blade is a little tuggy, then it is not sharp enough. I would go back to the 1 micron and start with 30 strokes on one side and 30 on the other and continue by halving strokes on both sides until you get to one and one. Light pressure is recommended. Go to your pasted strop and do 10 to 15 laps. Wipe the blade and then strop on the untouched linen side for 20 to 25 laps. Finish on leather with 40 to 60 laps. It should take care of the tugginess. If not, then go to your .3 micron and with a very light touch just do no more than 8 laps.. Go back to the pasted strop for 15 laps. Wipe blade, then hit the linen for 30 laps and the leather for 60. Good luck.

    Thanks Andrew!

  12. Looking at the photo's everyone posts of their gear in pristine condition leads me to the conclusion that you all visit the barbershop for your actual shaves.

Well thanks Simon! I can only speak for myself, but I try to keep my razors clean and in top working condition. It's a hobby with me and keeping things nice goes with the territory.

I have some more tubes in different scents. Maybe we can meet up on day and I will give you one.

Super nice intro Charlie! Thanks for stepping up to the 30DC duties!

Sounds like a tedious felling Dave! Congrats on the new firewood, but no fun on the rope burn :(. Nice setup and shave combo as always!

We have a couple of those themed stores close by....need to visit Dec 28th, 2021 (anniversary of my last official shave purchase). Very nice image as usual Clint!

    Awesome thoughts and notes Simon!

    Fun anniversary throwback Joe!

    Nice results and setup Paul!

Awesome first outing Danny! Congrats. Honing fun & relaxing? You are a natural. For me, more of a necessary maintenance chore :sad038:, but with the right music and mind set, it's manageable. I thoroughly enjoy the shave results and the endless variations of the tools so much more....just too frugal to have it done by others (except when it's out of the skill set for self correction).

    Enjoy the journey!
