Great shave with the Penn Adjustable today. I took a Original blade and ground off a few millimetres of the edge so it could be used to hold the Injector blade. Need to watch that it doesn't twist as it is just a pin that holds it. I had no issues with the 1st shave but will be mindful of it's precarious perch. Typical nice smooth injector shave with plenty of blade feel using it wide open. Great Williams lather and ready for the day. Have a good one Everyone !

Usually changing the settings work well, though on some shaves I’ll stick with one setting, on occasion.

Happy Hump Day Everyone. Back with the AOS shave cream for today. I did manage to find a bottle of pre-shave oil that was part of the gift. I have never really used a pre-shave oil before and I am not sure it added much to the experience today. At least I got to smell this wonderful scent longer. Three passes and touch ups ended in an automatic drama free BBS shave. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

    Excellent pic and results, Clint!
I've seen that cream for sale in Marshalls and TJ Maxx in the past. If I see it again, I may pick up a tub.

AOS cream is really good. I am sure Swati gets the stuff on sale somewhere. My favorite AOS scents thus far have been Sandalwood, Peppermint and Beramont & Neroli.

Nice shave Clint. I never used preshaves because I get good shaves without them. However, I won't say that they are useless because some shavers need them. Have a fine day.

Great shave today(and I am one not known for bragging-which I just did ...chuk yuk yuk). Another 1;00 of time at the loading dock, working with the Razorock Lime Burst soap and Jayaruh#59 brush. As the shave began, I felt I could have done better at NW Porcupine(where yesterday's Knick occurred). No cut or Knick there this time, but I left a little too much astroturf. I'll fix that tomorrow. I guess I was trying to be "too safe" there. Nice job everywhere else. At first, I left some turf just under the right ear, but I knocked it out during the second pass. Mennen Skin Bracer again for the AS, and I finished with elbow and wrist spritzes of Shagraf Oud from The House of Swiss Arabian Perfumery. Super Duper Excellent.

Thank you Joe. I threw the last bottle of preshave oil away. I decided I had better give this one a try to stay in SWMBO's good graces. I really can't say it made any difference at all.

    Good morning!

I hadn't given thought to what I would be using today until I watched Dave's video. Williams Wednesday it is. My first use of Williams since the water treatment plant upgraded their process to provide softer water. It made a difference. My best Williams lather to date. Just goes to show my water softener couldn't keep up with the harder water I had previously. Three passes for near BBS. One spark from the alum where I shaved off a blemish.

I'm calling this the end of my Bolzano blade focus. I've done a few blade focuses with blades that I considered less than and my perception changed every time. Not so with the Bolzano. They never felt smooth on my face and they still don't. I tried them in several different razors with the same opinion in each, which reaffirms my belief that blade razor pairings don't matter to me. They had no effect on the final result of each shave, just a month of terrific shaves.

    Have a great day!

When it comes to the "pre-shave" persuasion, I'll just say I've been quite satisfied combining bodywashes with the warm shower water.
