My long restauration journey is complete - and my 1930 New President in rare silver (only 5 known to exist) is back in da house. I got it truly beat up but now the handle crack is secured and repaired and new silver hue applied - the same way it was done originally in 1930: 3 layers of silver on a base of nickel. In order to preserve the engraving no buffing was done whatsoever so it proudly bears its battlescars from 1,000s of shaves. Still, this’un’s a keeper
