I am not trying to be harsh but people that make definitive statements without first hand knowledge or independent documented proof are a pet peeve. Your opinion. about Stirling Glacial soaps are as worthless as mine would be. Neither one of use have tried them. For every review that says one is colder you’ll find another that says the opposite. This is not your first time doing this. Your comment should have been prefaced with a statement indicating that you have not tried both.

I am going by scientific logic Clint. If you can smell the orange scent or any scent of a Stirling glacial, then the amount of menthol concentration is a lot less than the menthol concentration of Cryogen. Cryogen can't be scented because of the high concentration of its menthol according to Chiseled Face Soap Co. Yes, I do not have experienced glacials, but empirically, based on what I and others have stated, there isn't a soap that is colder than Cryogen on the market. YMMV. I don't want to get in a tussle over this. Highly mentholated soap is cold.

    Thanks, Clint.
Been on the smoker for an hour and a half now. I'm resisting the urge to sneak a peak. I know it won't take on much color in just three hours. Right now I'm just looking for flavor. I'm not sure how I'm going to finish it. Maybe Flame Thrower time.

My thoughts on heavily mentholated soaps. I have first hand experience with Cryogen, Stirling Glacials, and PAA Frost Byte. At the levels of menthol these soaps have cold is cold. I don't notice any difference.

I’ve dumped, yes dumped (volume is supposed to be added in drops) ..... dumped copious amounts of menthol additive solutions into various shave lube media.

At some point I reached diminishing returns on the cooling sensation that could be achieved.

I’ve also found a tolerance developed in me.

    Edit add:
I did really like dumping a highly jacked up aftershave on myself after not getting sufficient relief from showering after hot day work outside.

This was my second outing with the Equinoxe soap, which is also my first soap from E&S Rasage. I achieved my main objective, which was to quickly and accurately dial in the soap, and I was rewarded with a drama-free BBS. My previous shave, using mainly a shavette, was a worky shave. I was fixing Equinoxe lather mistakes while using the unguarded shavette blade. I suppose it serves me right for not doing better soap recon up front. OTOH that's just one of many ways to become a day older and wiser.

Hello fellow 30DCers. I had no intention of not posting for two weeks (double negative, Primo?), but things ended up getting away from me both at work and with family. Some long days at work, coupled with some renovation/construction projects at home and some health/injury stuff with me and family has resulted in a nice molotov cocktail. All will be fine, no need to include me in any thoughts.
I have been shaving regularly, and did often take pics. I will put yesterday's and today's shave below. I think I'm good to join in regularly again...I didn't realize I had been gone long enough for @jluc to transition from "I'm rock solid in the No Buy" to "I'm out, you win", though...
No idea of a focus for June, beyond the fact that I have sped up the Baker Street reduction plan to every 2nd day following the appearance of the bottom of the tub. It is about a nickel sized donut hole at this point.
