Oh my goodness the menthol came out swinging right away when I started lathering up with the Glacial Spearmint - it was so strong that right away my eyes were tearing, my nose was running, and my face was frozen, but I loved every minute of it. This soap like everything from Stirling gives such great skincare which is so important. The Glacial Spearmint balm moisturized, soothed, and added lots of extra freeze to my face, and the Frosted Spearmint aftershave from my man Fernando has pretty well the same lovely scent and the menthol sensation from it is off the friggin charts. The new Schick blade helped ensure an absolutely perfect BBS shave!

If this setup doesn’t freeze your face off then nothing will. Even the mentholated pre shave from Stirling felt pretty damned icy this morning, the Citrus Melody soap’s delicious scent filled my bathroom, the lather was so thick, rich, slick and frigid, and the postshave care was perfect. The Glacial Lemon Chill balm seems to have the same lovely scent, it’s colder than hell, and it’s so skin friendly. The Citrus Melody aftershave is so overwhelmingly cold that it makes your eyes tear and your nose run even if you apply just a small amount and does it ever smell beautiful. This was such a great shave!

The Tea Tree Body Bar Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #403 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Cobra Classic razor with a Feather Professional blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This shave was so bloody frigid that I thought that my face would fall off - the Frosted Lavender soap has such a gorgeous scent - the best way to describe it is soothing relaxation in the middle of winter, the lavender is blended so well with the intense menthol. The lather worked up like a charm, the freeze easily matches any of the Stirling Glacial soaps, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep and the Citrus Melody aftershave were a splendid finish. The new Schick blade helped to ensure a brilliant three pass BBS shave!

There’s definitely a difference in scent and performance between these two versions of Cherry Freeze. Today I used the glycerine version which lathers very well but it seems to be a bit more difficult to get a really thick, creamy, rich lather than with the tallow based one although I succeeded with the help of my lovely Yaqi Barber Pole. The menthol sensation is heavenly, and the skincare is pretty good also but again, the tallow version is better, at least to me. The Prep soothed and moisturized my skin afterwards while the Fougère Santal aftershave smells so gorgeous and it’s loaded with menthol. I don’t think even a professional barber could have done a better job because I ended up smoother than a glass table top!

The menthol power of this Frosted Lavender soap easily compares to any of the Stirling Glacials or Jaco’s Kameelperd’s Kick and his X 3 soaps - man alive, is it ever powerful. The scent is absolutely gorgeous, the tallow formula allows such brilliant lather that’s so rich, thick, slick, and protective, the freeze hits you right away, and the skincare is A1. After a nice massage with the Prep and a couple of dabs of the Arctique aftershave which is so frigid I was good to go. The new Astra Green blade helped to give me a perfect three pass BBS shave!

This Peppermint Latte is a brilliant and precious treasure which my dear friend Fernando worked so hard to produce - the scent is lovely, the lather works up perfectly because it’s tallow based, the menthol sensation hits really hard especially during the second and third passes, not to mention how skin friendly it is. After a nice massage with the Prep and a couple of splashes of the Krampert’s Frostbite aftershave I was good to go. Three passes knocked off all my tough stubble and left me as smooth as silk - what a great shave!

Not only am I as smooth as silk, my face is frozen solid - this Frosted Lavender soap packs such a wicked menthol punch, the scent is gorgeous, the lather is awesome, the slickness is perfect because of the tallow formula, and the skincare is wonderful. The Prep and the Arctique were a great way to finish off. What a brilliant shave this was!

With the temperature expected to reach 35 Celsius today I took a very good decision to go all out with some of the strongest mentholated products I have. The Glacial Wintergreen soap, balm, and witch hazel did a great job of freezing my face and leaving it feeling fantastic. Another brilliant BBS shave!
