Thank you Joseph....sources have said 1917(when AV itself began, but as a mouthwash), 1929, and 1935. 86 years for AV aftershave. Still good for Throwback Thursday.

I am going out tonight so I decided to shave with only 24 hrs stubble. I decided to use my Slim Adj with the Astra blade because it is adequate to take this little growth off my face. I find that I can use less efficient razors and blades for such a growth as this. I really have appreciated the Semogue brush, now that I can get a nice lather for 2 passes without squeezing it. It has a nice feel to the face. I realize that I need to wet the face with this brush before I go to the puck. I proceed toget a pasty load and apply it on my face. I add water to bristles and go at it on my face. Add more soap and continue to lather. Add more water... you get the idea. Two passes gave me a BBS minus shave, but it was a lot of buffing even with the razor at full throttle. Like I mentioned in a previous shave, I need to try this blade in a more aggressive razor like my R102 before I really offer my opinion on it. Finished in the usual manner and happy with the results. Have a great day guys!

Yes Paul! I hit the gym this morning! I did something that I have never done before in my gym journey. I did back-to-back days of doing weights and cardio in one day. Yesterday, I did my upper body in the early afternoon and last night I did cardio. Today, I did my arms, legs and cardio in one session. I think that is pretty good for a 66 yr old man. Lol! I normally do not do this routine, but I have things that I have to do that prevents me from going to the gym tomorrow. It's good to know that I found out that I can go back-to-back days with weights and cardio in the same session.

Very good, Joe :). It was just plain DULL at my gym yesterday morning, thus I may not return, and just get a head start on a new one even before Gold's closes down. One thing I miss about going to the gym-the camaraderie, which I haven't seen at Gold's since the pandemic began. Congrats on going back-to-back :).

A couple of nice shaves with a few favourite vintage shavers the past few days. Perfect results with the MonoBilt yesterday and very near that again today with the Floating Head. No red, either...
The Strop Shoppe has one day left on it. I have gotten the best of it recently. I changed what I usually do, and start with a dry synthetic brush. A few splashes on the puck has me starting from the paste I prefer. I'd be lying if I said I would miss it when it is done, though.
    Have a great day all!

I should pay more attention to the Seller when taking a chance on what I am bidding on. This lot came in with the 2 razors I wanted in MUCH better condition than pictured. The Senator even had a card from Back Roads Gold showing it was Mirror Plated on 6-15-2021 that I didn't expect. Messaged him and he said he made the card for it when He shipped it as it had been sitting after getting done. Going back to check the listing and it was none other than Chris Spencer of BRG that sold the lot. I should read more than I do as I normally just go over the pics thoroughly. Win-Win this time for sure !

Thanks Paul! My gym schedule is usually Mon Wed Thurs Fri and Sat. However, I have never done consecutive days of weights and cardio in one session. Well, yesterday was a split session, but you get my drift.
