I have this beauty coming to my house, begging for me to make it whole. What should I put in it? It’s 26mm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Beautiful handle, but it depends on what you like. If that were mine, I would cut the 26mm mixed boar/badger out of my Semogue BC brush.
Shavemac! Very pricey, but once I bought mine, all other brushes pale in comparison. Except for Chubzz 1, by Dale @PanChango
It may sound like putting $20,000 wheels on a $5,000 car but...I'm redonkulously impressed with the modern synthetics. I've all but switched over to them. The only natural bristle I'm using is the Semogue Texugo badger I got from Dale @PanChango. I still have them, I just don't use them.
It depends what you want. There are so many options in both natural and synthetics. I do love the look of that handle though.
Synthetics seem to be the hot thing right now, but I'm a badger guy. I'd splurge and go with a silver-tip, although a 26mm knot is going to seem like you're using a pillow on your face!
What do you like ...... pillow soft or something with a little scritch ...... lots of backbone or a flop monster? I really like Maggard's knot in a K3 Simpson I restored.
I’m a natural kinda guy, I bowl and face lather, my go to brush is a brush ole GD made for me, it’s Finest badger. I’ve never set my own knot but I will now! I am just kinda lost on where to even look Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Surely you must have some badgers running around Walls. just remember to sneak up on them they can be nasty Critters. Or better yet, get them pre killed
I don’t know, we might be able to make some mighty fine brushes. Especially with our petrified wood and all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here in my end of Mississippi, we just super glue dryer lint into the socket base of busted light bulbs. and good night!
If you’ve never had horse hair before I would give it try. White horse hair is pretty soft and dries fast. https://murphyandmcneil.com/products/26mm-shd-white-horse-hair-knot
I like to use Maggard's for knots, but I will say STAY AWAY FROM ENVY ...... Envy has absolutely lousy customer service and now I have a $50 travel knot (18mm). Yup I'm still mad.
