    Hi all!!!
Hope everything and everyone are doing well!
Dropping in to show all, my experiment with a razor some might have forgotten. :signs002:
I've been using the DEvette with a new feather blade each time to shave daily.
I've had a few excursions to some other "blade holders" once in a great while but only a very few times in the last few months, say 5 or 6 times.
I decided to get out a modified razor Danny sent me some time ago ( safety bar removed ) and look it over. The issue with it was the blade was flimsy. Being the inquisitive type, I thought, I can fix that.
    So doing the hillbilly thing....
I cut the edge off a used blade and set it under the new blade.
This stiffened the new blade significantly making shaving with it a breeze.
The razor head is thin so getting the correct angle was easy.

    20210703_090707.jpg

Both the mug and gourd is as expected and one pass was all that is needed.
I removed a small bump in front of my right ear, but bleeding was minimal even on blood thinners.
Well...... I'll probably use this Frankenstein monster for a while just for fun.:shocked003:
    All
    Be well and take care.
    Keep up the good work!

    Enjoy

    Razor: Paradigm Diamondback 2020
    Blade: Gillette Platinum (2)
    Brush: Oumo Chubby
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: PAA AA Bay Rum
    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
PAA AA Bay Rum Star Jelly
    AS: PAA AA Bay Rum

    Good morning!

Absolutely awesome shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Completely silent alum.

The Diamondback held at a shallow angle has no blade feel. It just easily and effortlessly does its job. Love it!

    Have a great day!

Another beauty of a shave this morning, but with different paraphernalia than yesterday's beauty. 0:50 to load the Grandpa's Barbershop(Central Texas Soaps)onto the Stoylin No-Name brush. CTS really is a lovely soap-all the more so with a proper shave technique. (Course I'm sure that can be said about many soaps in this hobby we love). 5 oz. of a great shave-starter. A fine "paint job" from the Stoylin brush. I'm glad I'm making a habit of this "slow&steady wins the race" approach going up NW Porcupine Alley(directly under the left nostril). Strangely, the right side doesn't need as much care, but I still must watch out. 2 passes-could have been 3 with all the remaining soap)...no Knicks or cuts. Clubman A.S.. to finish. Outta This World Excellent.

Hello Terry! I'm glad you stopped by. It's always cool to see your latest shaving tool. Sounds like your mug and gourd continue to get extra special treatment. I hope things are well for you and your family.

Happy Saturday Everyone. I received an email notice from Yates Precision that the EH plate was in stock and placed an order immediately. The plate arrived yesterday and given my complete lack of patience, I just had to give it a go this morning. I now have the complete set of Yates base plates consisting of the M plate (0.65mm), the H Plate (1.02mm) and the EH plate at (1.27mm). Both the M and the H plate have worked well for me. However, I have not enjoyed the M Hybrid plate as much. Given my previous experience I was excited to take the EH plate for a drive. The EH plate does have more blade feel with the blade gab to match. I found the angle easy to find and maintain. Three passes and touch ups ended in @Keithmax patented "Epic" shave. I could not ask for a better maiden voyage. Swati and I are off to get paint for the master bath remodeling project. I will be so glad when it is done. I hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday.
