    Good morning guys!

    Straight razor shave #283
5/8 Dovo Best Quality 1/2 Hollow Rd Pt
    Jayaruh #290 Cashmere Brush
    Cella SS
    Old Spice P/G AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's WH

Cella really is a great performing soap. It is easy to lather and the marzipan scent is awesome. I found that it is better for me to load the brush in small increments; then lather the face and repeat the process before starting the first pass because the soap is filled to the top of a small tub. Before the second pass, I hit the tub again to make sure I have enough soap for my second pass.
I guess I've been in a Dovo state of mind because I decided to use my Best Quality razor. This was my second straight razor that I purchased after my Dovo Special. Today, it gave me a near BBS with 2 passes. I didn't leak any blood and no irritation was found. Like my Dovo Special, I haven't use the Dovo Best Quality that much. They both gave me fine shaves and I have to use them more often. I am spoiled shaving with my über large custom razors and as well as some of my vintage ones. Lol!
Applied the alum block and their was some stinging, but it was not outrageous. Witch hazel follwed and then finished with a generous portion of Old Spice.
    Have a nice day guys!

Super shave Jim! I have heard Noble Otter is a good shaving soap. It arrived on the scene a couple of years ago, but it hasn't been in the forefront in quite some time.

Fine shave Tolga! I happen to like Arko. It lathers well and I happen to like the scent while others think it belongs in a urinal.

That's rare for you to get such a large cut. Anyway, you had a good shave with a great setup Joseph. Take care.

Hopefully your friend can bring you some Stirling. When I think of Turkey and shaving I think of Arko.

    Take care.

i heard that comment, but arko is the default barbershop scent in turkey. so it smells just soap to me :) my brain cannot process it differently. i learnt that usa barbershops smell like baby powder, hoping to try stirling barbershop maybe after that i can say bad things for arko smell :)

    Thanks, Joe!

Please explain what you mean by not in the forefront? Most of their new releases quickly sell out.

Dave, I gave the only Aristrocrat I've ever had to a good friend for his starter kit awhile back. It was a nice boxed example that I picked up on the Bay. I'd like to get another one some day for myself. If you're still interested in letting it go after my NB is complete, please keep me in mind. If you choose to move it on sooner, that's OK too....gives me a reason to scour eBay for deals. :)

When I grow up I want to shave like that. Awesome shave as usual, Joe. You just keep nailing them.

    Take care.

Thanks Gary! We couldn't ask for better news.
He is precious, Danny. I just love seeing the photos of your sweet grand kids.

My Dad drove Ford trucks (always 3- or 4-speeds) when I was a kid. I asked him once how he learned to drive a stick. He said he was born with a gear shift in his hand. He was also born in Alabama. This must still be a thing down there. :)
