I've had a Champion Generator for a while. Well built and strong Generator. They do eat batteries, when not in use. So, learn to start it without the battery.

Thank you, Dave, I had my privacy settings cranked down too tightly. (It's not like I had blocked you and @Hembree had to let me know you tagged me. :D) All set now. I would love to work out a fair trade of some kind.

Here are some photos of the Aristocrat that I passed on to my friend. It is one of those situations where I'm both glad and sad he got it. :)

This is my......5th generator (2 Hondas, 2 Champions, 1 Powerhorse) over my 56.5 trips around the sun. I tend to wear them out, and when that happens, can't always get parts, or the parts are more than it's worth trying to fix (1 Honda, 1 Honda in a Northern Tool generator package).

I use a generator ~37 out of 44 event weekends per year. They power the glampmobile's AC/heater and accessories. The new Champion generator was broken in per the manual, had an oil change at 5 hours....then ran 50 hours and changed oil again...now it's at 90 hours. I'll be changing it again this weekend Friday evening before firing it up again for the weekend. Then.....it's on a 100 hour change interval. I use 5/30 synthetic, keep it shaded/out of the rain, and usually only run about 30-40% capacity, save for when I'm making coffee or running the microwave and the AC at the same time.

Thank you Danny. We had a great day in the mountains. I’ve spent so much time motorcycle riding in the area that I know all the roads and stops.

After my Generators and lawn equipment are broken in, I always switch to Mobil 1 Full Synthetic, or another high quality Full Synthetic. I've never had an engine wear out. I can run a generator 2 weeks 24/7 without issue, or oil change. Hurricanes, Tropical Storms, and regular power outages in Houston. I still have a Coleman 5000 watt that is 25 yrs old, and still going strong using synthetic. One trick I learned was to always run the carb dry, after shutting the fuel off, then drain the tank. The Ethanol will eat up the aluminum in carbs.
