Yep, that's the way to make them last, but I'm a Valvoline or Rotella synthetic type. Never had an issue with ethanol, always do the same (but rarely are they not started every 96 hours, save for the 5 weeks off in winter).

I'd still have the Honda 4000 genny going from 1974 if it a) didn't weigh so much to be a PITA and b) could get a quiet muffler setup to fit. Not worth the $ to have one fabricated, and my shop access isn't quite the fabrication facility some might have access to ala @Hembree or others. Ended up trading it....

 

Superb shave Joe. I remember using the O S Lime as a teenager. Good stuff.

 

No straight focus. I use my straights about 80% of the time. I reserve Monday’s for one of the two Micromatics. The focus this month will be “Just One Soap Weekdays”

Mid afternoon shave as I was busy in the yard splitting some more wood. Yes, the MOLC has taken a back seat to the various tasks that I need to get done before next month’s shoulder surgery.
I hav decided that this month’s focus will be a slight variation on the “Just One July” or the true 30DC focus. I will do a “Just One July Soap Weekdays”. Variety will be on the weekend shaves.
Three passes with the MMOC had my face smooth and refreshed. I went with the same juice as yesterday as SWMBO positively enjoys the scent. She has a thing for the citrus based scents.

. Overloading the brush is....IMO, one of the most fun parts of wet shaving. Bowl overflowing lather or overbuilt lather on the face....just feels so decadent and good for the skin, no matter any brand I use. Of course some have different/better/worse properties of the lather, fragrance or skin feel, but that's just part of the adventure.
