I have one of those. Never tried shaving with it. Never even thought about shaving with it. Still am not thinking about shaving with it. My wife uses it to make lines on the loaf. Edit: the one we have is the green plastic one in the 'not recommended' side. It works fine.
I just use a regular SE blade (GEM not injector) for my bread. No fancy holder needed. And I would never shave with that thing above.
@Edison Carter found the high tech alternative to your "Fatboy," ought to do a shave off with this (in straight mode) vs. the Essence, and to make it fair, use the same blade in both. Ok ...It wouldn't be fair. Edit: might be entertaining. Has anyone ever done a video compilation of people cutting themselves badly while shaving?
I’ve seen a couple of decent shave cuts on YouTube. The distraction of stardom. I had thought of a lame for the 30DC MAYhem tomfoolery, but after @Norcalnewb freehanded a Feather DE and @Drygulch superglued a DE to his finger everything else seemed dull.
