All right, fellas. Here's another question. When you have a "shaving cream" in a "shaving soap" setting(a jar)....what's the best way to attack it-brushes or scoop it out by hand????

i scoop a little out of the jar.i don't like to put a damp brush into a cream that could contaminate or thin the cream.:)

Makes good sense, Gary. I just sent the question to the company itself. They may say what you said. The dampness of the brush is the issue, but I never use the same brush two days in a row. It's going to be a little tricky "scooping" out the right amount. Course it would REALLY be tricky scooping out a Stoylin or any other solid shave SOAP.

i use an old vintage butter knife, but a small t spoon or sugar spoon works nicely:)
as i do pass soaps creams along if i don't quite like the scent i don't like to contaminate the pot..hard soaps are different that way..

The Clubman box came here too....2(actually 3)items in the same day. Now waiting for the Agadir A.S. As for the Clubman, I got the 12.5 oz. A.S.(I read where that's the size used at barbershops), and another Gents Gin.

Scoop some out , some use their finger tip, a spoon, a knife, the handle of a nail clipper, popsicle stick. Put into a shave bowl, shave scuttle, shaving mug, any bowl or any mug. Ive tried various things and still do. Sometimes i use my finger and spread the cream on my face and use a damp brush to face lather it. I struggle lathering creams. They all become airy foam.

I thought I’d join the parade of Otto Busch’s making the scene lately. Wonderful shave. I was really lucky getting this one as it was the first razor I bought and I had no idea how good these razors are. :happy036:

I use a small Baskin Robbins ice cream spoon when I have to scoop a soap. They are very sturdy quality and scoops the perfect size of soap for a shave.

Fantastic!!!! I'll be giving my newly acquired birth year and quarter (T-4, 1973) Psycho a spin as soon as I'm done trying out Tom's razor creations. Don't often see a Psycho in a SoD post!
