    That's awesome! I did look them up on the Bay and was shocked at the prices! Are they really worth all that?!

    Things are indeed well... Started a new job in April hence my lack of activity - becoming more adjusted and managing my time and workload a little better now!
    How's the house?

    Some razors require more thinking about the angle than others. Figure that out and you can get a great shave from all of them.

    The first one I did was on the smoker for three hours then 38ish hours at 155° in the sous vide.
    This one will be 60ish hours at 135°, ice bath then on the smoker for a few hours.

    @screw
    That's madness! The Boots sticks are excellent, and they really don't cost all that much!
    In all fairness, I mainly use Arko these days!

    I find this to be very true. I also think that it boils down to being able to feel the cutting action and making those adjustments to the blade angle when it isn't cutting as it should.

    I recently bought myself a Weber Kettle (Master Touch) and I'm really enjoying the whole grilling experience. I've discovered that a meat thermometer really does result in beautifully cooked meats.
    I haven't done any low'n'slow stuff just yet, but I have done roasted chicken and potatoes for 70 minutes! They turned out beautifully!

    Yeah, it's about finding the effective cutting angle and maintaining that angle throughout each stroke.
    I get that there are people that aren't interested in adjusting their technique for a particular razor and that's fine but most of those people blame the razor.

    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 977

    One of my wife's FAVORITE places is Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountains. We've been thru it more times than I can count in a car, on a motorcycle and even hay rides. I have pedal biked it at midnight with friends when there was a full moon and had Black Bear and coyote run across the path as we were riding. Just a beautiful area and the most visited place in the Smokey's. So when I saw this set getting rleased I knew I had to get it even though I have been halting soap purchases of late and pairing down the inventory. The scent is described well as:

    "So, this Cade’s Cove aroma embraces the ambience of the Great Smoky Mountains. This valley in Tennessee is represented by green grassy notes and honeysuckle on a woody, musky base."

    This is a BEAUTIFUL scent and always a top level performing soap and splash. Just a great shave. The Bread Lame slice was reopened during the shave but settled down quicker than yesterday and will heal fine........eventually. Have an adventurous day Folks !

    I like the Boots stick too...I also use Arko & Derby sticks, for performance & slickness both are amazingly good.
