As we reach the halfway mark of July, let's have a look at the survey...well, it appears that "to commit the writer of these polls" has broken away from the others. He won't be the winner, but he looks great for second place at this time.

Fougère Friday it is, so the soap du jour is my Valobra.
The MdC fougère was finally emptied a few months ago.

This soap has a pungent and powerful (redundant?) scent. It also whips into an enviable, gorgeous goo.

Sweden is the country of origin for today's straight. The Heljestrand is really hard
    steel and
there is absolutely no flex to this blade when cutting (none that I can sense, anyway).
The edge is nice and even my lower neck feels pretty darn smooth.
The Thayer WH & ASB combination cleaned and softened my skin.
Finished with some intentional over-spraying of Brut.

I have been doing an unorthodox method of lathering these last few days. I wet the face with my brush and then I lightly squeeze some of the water out still leaving a moderate amount in the bristles. I just swirl the brush maybe 5 or 6 times to make and apply a preshave lather. Mind you, the brush is still heavily damp so that I hit the puck and lather a few times to get a nice creamy, moist and slick lather. It really is a nice way to lather because I am not doing the normal amount swirls on the puck.
Anyway, the Aust attacked my beard without any problem. Two passes gave me a near BBS shave without any drama. There was very little feedback from the alum. Finished with the witch hazel and the wonderful juice to end this nice face shave.

I used Cremo for my dome shave instead of the Satsuma soap because it is easier for me.
The R102 did a great job giving me a nice, smooth shave. I had very little feedback from the alum and then applied the witch hazel. Finished with the Aqua Velva. Have a great day guys!
