There’s a real difference between us v1and V2 of the General. The head is much slimmer, not as thin as the Vector, but still markedly different. I prefer my General V2 to my Vector. Although I do use both.

Have to play the Shavette Fu card this evening. If I missed anyone’s today, apologies.

Great images, shaves and gear Gentlemen!

Lemmeeee see…some Friday highlights, Jeff gots a new stropping spinner, Jason’s work email/voicemail now forwarded to a tree, Dave’s deal is, wait…he’s looking for what now? And….Primo’s shooting stars, lost control of his sprayer….:shocked029:

Time for my brain to find a pillow. Catch up tomorrow evening!

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Nivea Men Power Fresh Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face
Pears Transparent Bar Soap. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: Williams Mug Shaving soap.
    Blade: Dorco Titan. (D1)
    Razor: Parker Variant.(Settings) 3-wtg,3-xtg,4-wtg+Pick ups.

    Post:
Cold Water Face & Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Cien Aqua ASL + Sensitive ASB.

    Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend...After the comfortable shaves I've had with the Dorco st300 blades, I've carried on using the Korean made Dorco titan another smooth non-aggressive blade that matched up with the efficient parker Variant wonderfully, resulting in a 3 pass silky smooth shave with no errors to report....Like the ST300 the Dorco titan may not be the sharpest blade but they are smooth and works well with my more assertive DE razors.

Recently i have been getting some great lathers from Williams. This love/hate classic soap yet again provided me an slick acceptable lather for the shave leaving a wonderful post shave feel...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Cien Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

:signs001: Gary....The Parker Variant performed wonderfully today...I only done the third + pickup pass to use up the lather, i intend to experiment to omit the xtg pass from my shaving method a pass, and do a wtg,& atg pass + pickups as iIve found I'm virtually getting the same results especially with my more assertive razors which is a double bonus less shaving time and most importantly less shaving to my face..i've never been a one to chase BBS anyway, i find it a pointless .Take care. Yours-Barry.

Pretty good Gary! Staying busy as heck but I'm enjoying it. Back into the renos again at home and at a friends house also as well as my regular job . I now have a beard and a head full of hair ..... two things I never dreamed I'd have. How's things going your way this summer ?

    Razor: Gillette Senator
    Blade: Shark Platinum (4)
    Brush: Wolf Whiskers
    Soap: 1508.5 Haslinger Schafmilch
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber
    Fragrance:
    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 983

Today was time for the Senator to come out and play. He played nice and we are clean shaven with 4th use of the Platinum Shark. Rolled the dice and have 300 of these blades inbound now as a backup to the nearly 1,000 Wizamets that are my go to blade and an assortment of others interspersed. Off to some coffee and Lemon Pound cake for breakfast. Have a great Weekend everyone !
