If you would have flirted with the coffee lady she would have fixed you a fresh pot.

You have got to work it, Joe. ;)

Those that drive shavettes avoid honing and stropping……

Thank you Danny. Work went well today. I am home now waiting on the shower door folks to come by and get the information for a quote. The master bath remodel is in the home stretch now.

today i broke my focus :)
i forgot my proraso brush at home, so i had to use my omega. while chaning brush i decided to give a try my baili butterfly.

    todays shave was
    brush: omega boar
    soap: arko
    razor: baili butterfly
    blade: rapira
AS: alum block + arko sensitive balm

it was a very clean bbs shave with minor bite during alum block.

during my focus (20d) i learned quite a lot thanks to you guys. i definetly will try a focus or rule another month, but for now i will continue to shave randomly :)

Lovely fragrant shave, Maestro! Nothing beats a sharp straight for a neck shave!

Thanks, Danny, but you’re right! TOOBS creams just don’t do it for me. YMMV I’ve tried several! MWF tends to be the soap I reach for.

Asylum Shave Works SS & AS - Old Virginia
    Jason's 2019 30dc LE w/Omega boar
    Feather AC DX (kamisori style)
    Schick Proline B20 (1)
    Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly

'Crazy Good Shaving Soap' is the moniker on the label....and it fits. ASW's Old Virginia shaving soap (actually made by Wet Shaving Products) lathers instantly, created oodles of bowl lather with the boar knot loaded in @jtspartan handle. Awesome deep leather/tobacco fragrance with a slight hint of vanilla (not too sweet). Tried a new configuration today on the Feather AC DX....loaded up a B20 blade (not the usual P-30 size). 2.5 crimsonless passes to a very nice BBS- result (even dolphin smooth on the last XTG neck/jawline pass). Between the diminutive size of the Feather AC DX (scales removed) & the B20 blade, with toe at appx. -85 degrees, the ear to mid chin swipes on the neck/jawline were achieved with confidence. Love this little razor, handles like a sports car. Followed with my usual after shave balm, and a healthy overdose of the matching 'Crazy Good Aftershave'. Yet another wifey approved fragrance, it's a near perfect match to the soap.

Old Virginia...like walking into an old pipe tobacco/cigar shop with oversized leather sofas strewn around to sit and enjoy some sampling....a vanilla candle sitting somewhere close by on an old oak desk.

Hope everyone has a fantastic rest of this Wednesday!

Thanks Dave! It's not marketed as such, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. The B20 was held tight, and all I did was line it up with the toe...appears to have a little more exposure than with a P-30 loaded, but, um, it's an open edge, so no biggie. :bounce015:

Lol! In retrospect, the coffee was probably fine because the new cup was fine. I think the first cup wasn't completely rinsed out and so traces of soap remained and contaminated the coffee, ergo the very bitter taste that was quite evident.
