The Ingram Shave Cream lathered well with Tom's B-3 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M Adjustable Razor with a Schick Proline B20 Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Do I ever wish the Glacial Obsidian was still in production because it’s one of my favourite Glacial soaps. The scent is black licorice in a beautiful way, the tallow formula gives it such ease of lathering, the slickness is fabulous, the menthol sensation is off the charts, and the skincare is perfect. The Glacial Unscented balm is so moisturizing, soothing, as well as frigid, and the Osage Rub aftershave can freeze you to smithereens. The new Astra Green blade helped me to get a brilliant three pass BBS shave which I enjoyed immensely!

A couple of one on ones before I pass on the Yates, this morning vs the PAA Ascension DOC. The Ascension also puts a great amount of bend on the blade, though the blade is tightly clamped rather than suspended as in the Yates. As expected the Yates OC was the more comfortable shave, the PAA at 1/8 turn may have had a little edge in efficiency (noticed only in the moustache area) but closer race than I expected. Polsilver blades, MDC.

Razor: Gem Damaskeene 1912 open comb, Mfg 1912-15, the razor that turned Gem into household brand for decades, excellent tame mid range, easy carefree shave this morning. One of my oldest and hardest to find A.S.R razors in my collection .
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) excellent blade, Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Colonel Conk Bayrum, nice milder scent (Ver#1) excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm timber wolf, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Ogallala Bayrum with sandal wood + a dollop of Nivea balm + 2 drops of HA.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper=excellent shave with my Gem Damaskeene 1912 oc with a Gem coated blade.
