    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Fine 24mm Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: Monsavon au lait.
    Blade: Baili Platinum +.(D1)
    Razor: Baili BD191.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils. + 3 Menthol Crystals, Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Cien X-Bolt ASL./Aloe vera Gel.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave.

The Monsavon au lait as always provided me with a wonderful protective slick lather for the shave leaving an excellent post shave feel....I had all intentions to carry on with Baili Platinum + blade for a third outing but changed my mind at the last minute and used a fresh one instead which felt smooth and efficient.

A Enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups acceptable comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. View attachment 255859 ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen. View attachment 255860

Happy Tuesday Everyone. The Tatara Muramasa was shipped from Protugal last Wednesday and arrived yesterday. They included FedEx International shipping which was a very nice touch given the price of the razor. Since I have absolutely zero patience, I had to give the Muramasa a try this morning. In honor of its heritage, I decided to go with a Portuguese lineup. The Tatara/Semogue boar loaded and lathered the ABB shave soap with ease. The scent of citrus and spice over a woody base lasted throughout the shave.

The Muramasa is clearly a Tatara razor. The design is has the same look and feel of their other razors. While the Muramasa is an adjustable razor, it works differently than other adjustable razors. Most adjustable razors only increase or decrease the blade gap. The Muramasa adjusted both the blade gap and blade exposure. This is done with the safety bar of the razor moving in and out when the dial is turned. The base plate decreases in height as the base plate moves inward thus increasing the blade gap and blade exposure at the same time. The entire process is very cool but it did take me a few minutes to figure out how to load and adjust the razor.

Enough about razor, let's talk about the shave. I set the razor to the middle setting of 3 which yields a 0.73mm blade gap with a neutral blade exposure. I went with a traditional 3 pass shave. During the first WTG I did dial the razor up to 5. Even at that setting the razor felt smooth. Returning the razor to 3, I finished up the shave and did some touch ups along my jawline and lower neck. The shave was a drama free BBS shave. I really can't ask for better. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.
