Very nice shave, Clint. I'm glad the bathroom is getting finished up.

What is your thoughts on the way the razor adjust and I have to ask......do you think the razor is worth the price point after getting it in hand and shaving with it? I know when it first came out we were having a hard time with the price. It is an awesome looking razor with some neat engineering throwed in.

    Take care.

    Wednesday 28th July
    Razor: GEM MMOC
    Blade: GEM PTFE (4)
    Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo
    Soap: TOBS Peppermint
    Aftershave: Proraso Green Splash

Another wonderful MMOC shave. I brought out the TOBS Peppermint for today's shave - forgot how lovely this soap is. The last time I used it, I used a bowl. This time, I just swirled the brush into the soap and then face lathered. I probably used a little more soap than I did when bowl lathering, but the results were far superior - the lather felt slicker and more cushioned.

I received an email from Connaught Shaving this morning, alerting me to the fact that the GEM PTFE blades were back in stock. I promptly ordered 200. I will keep adding to my stash of these so that I don't run out again. There really is nothing that beats the MMOC & GEM PTFE blades (IMO).

    Thank you Danny.

Even though the razor is designed in Portugal it reminds me of what I think is the best of Italian design. With Italian motorcycles, the look and feel as important as the function. I had an Italian motorcycle, Aprilia, that I would go out in the garage and sit drinking a beer just to admire the bike. This razor is a lot like that. It works very well and looks fantastic. However, the number window is next to useless. I know it is on 4 now. So if I move the dots counterclockwise it will be on 3. Seeing the number just not have been as important as the overall look and feel of the razor Once I get above $250 for a razor, I have a hard time saying any of them are worth the price. However, when I hold it the Musamara it is like holding a piece of working art. I don't get that feel with most of my razors.
