Thanks Jeff. I think the AC blades are the blades for the razor. The razor just felt like it was being held back by the DE blade. I know that sounds funny but I think you understand.

 

I wonder what the Rockwell hardness is of the two materials.

This is interesting that you may feel a difference between two different metals.

No idea what the hardness difference is between the two. I really wouldn't think it would matter but they do have a different face feel.

The difference between the stainless and Titanium Blackbird must be more pronounced. A lot of reviews out there saying how much smoother the Ti is compared to the stainless. Our @Dave in KY has used both and and could tell us more. If Shane does a polished Blackbird Ti it'll be added to the collection if I'm patient enough to wait for it and don't buy the machined finish first.

Good afternoon gentlemen. Another day of pushing the envelope to finish the necessary chores around here before next week’s potential surgery’s. Potential = I will get into that later. I am almost finished with my Pul Bunyan impersonation for the year. One more hour of work should do it.

This afternoons shave featured the Thistle 5/8ths with wonderfully sharp edge. I did my usual three pass shave even though I easily could have settled for two. The Jayaruh 382 boar easily whipped up a wonderful lather.


Now regarding the potential surgery. As luck would have it I have some sort of reaction to either poison ivy or an insect bite. I very rarely have a reaction to poison ivy. If so it is usually minimal. So I am on steroids and the doctor has moved my surgery to the last scheduled for Monday. When I see him on Monday he will determine whether to proceed or reschedule.
