Danny, you wouldn’t believe how sweet the edge is. Touched it up on an Italian slate recommended by Glen, and finished it on Howard Schlecter’s 4-sided pasted constroption.

Great shave, Joseph. Sounds like you are getting the soap dialed it but it needs more staying power. Take care.

I would definitely give that Palmolive soap a try. What I always do to "resuscitate" an old, dry puck, is to follow, to the letter, this old post from @GDCarrington

I’ve spent most of the day in that little car! Much easier to get in and out of in one’s mid twenties rather than their mid seventies.

I had a pack of the Palmolive but it just sat since I have so much Williams and a Colgate that I've never gotten to. I ended up giving it to that Jody guy :)

It's been a month and a half (since my birthday) that I have brought out one of the Sons of Thunder for a shave. Artie got the call today.

This is my tribute shave to Joe @JACarbone because I am using a soap that he piffed me and today was supposed to be his operation day. Hope he has it today.

Anyway, Soap Commander gives a nice, slick, creamy lather when well hydrated. It really is the way I like my lathers, especially when I straight shave. The only negative is that the scent is very faint. This could be that is the way Soap Commander scents their soap or Joe has had it for awhile or a combo thereof. If I was going to buy a SC soap, then it would be straight unscented

I am glad to say that I haven't lost my touch using this über blade. Two passes without touchups gave me a fantastic BBS shave without any drama. I have to say that I am glad that I fixed this razor with chromium oxide because this blade cut my 30 hr stubble like there was nothing to it. When I first got this razor, it was not shave ready by my standards after 2 to 3 shaves, I had to treat it with Crox and it has been a smooth shaver ever since. This is my 7th shave with Artie and it turned out to be my best thus far. I am very satisfied with this razor.

Finished with the alum (very little stinging), the wh, and the Stirling Bay Rum. Also @jgreenepa Jeff, this one is for you as well. Take care and have a great afternoon guys!

    SE Shave # 205 - MICROMATIC MONDAY

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Brush: Jack Skully
    Lather: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum
    Aftershave: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Nivea Cool Balm

Okay gentlemen, surgery update: Rescheduled dolor this coming Wednesday. As a result I was able to have a fragranced shave this morning. Starting tomorrow I will have to avoid all fragrances , I have no clue for the recommendation, so that will mean for the next two days it will be either The Fat or Williams and Witch Hazel.

For the month of August I will resort back to my 1508.5 Project with the Uncle John’s Gravity. On the off days of the project I will use one of my three Bay Rum scents from PAA.

This morning’s shave courtesy of the MMBT was stellar as usual. I constantly receive the most excellent shaves from my GEM razors. Super smooth with a fabulous post shave feel in the neighborhood of the Delphinade Tursiops Truncates,

Given that my surgery has been rescheduled, the missus and I have a couple of date nights she’s of us s Anthony will now be at his aunt’s until Thursday. Last night we have a nice dinner at a sea food restaurant out in the Hamptons. Tonight will be a movie night. Tomorrow to be determined.

Hope you have had a great day gentlemen.
