Razor: Yaqi 50mm SE Excalibur, Mfg 2021, tame mid range IMO, great razor, light weight, enjoyable razor.
Blade: Kai Protouch 50mm, sharp & smooth, interesting blade concept that works.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum sage & cedarwood, nice scent, excellent lather properties.
Brush: Yaqi high mountain silvertip 24mm 2 band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow soft tips, nice scrubber, excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood + a dollop of Nivea balm with 2 drops of HA mixed.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur + Kai protouch.

I often think of passing this Razor on, then I have a Shave with it. No comparison with the Oldies, as incredibly smooth and the apparent bulk is no hindrance to a Shave. Do not know how it compares with a Cobra Classic, but for me far superior to a King Cobra.An excellent Shave.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with Tom's B-3 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Razor with a Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I didn't get around to posting yesterday's sheve so here it is.

I had an excellent shave this morning with my Schick E, G hybrid with custom handle. This is a very efficient razor. Cellar organic with aloe always lathers exceptionally well and the addition of a pre-shave application of Sterling mentholated gave the shave a little chill. Not a bad way to start a day.

Sunday Schick shave, Aug 1st 2021

Razor: Schick G injector type, Canadian Variant- Mfg 1940's 50s,NDCodes, nice mid range, light weight, easy to reach under the nose area.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE(3) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum, sage, cedarwood, nice Bayrum scent with great lather qualities. Great price.
Brush: Yaqi Artic sky 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice scrub, great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel + Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood A.S + a dollop of Nivea balm + 2 drops of HA.
Results: CCS, DFS, BBS + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper=Excellent shave with my Schick G type injector with a Personna coated blade.

Well, the GD 208 is out getting honed. Has been maybe eight years since it was last honed. So, until it returns my beloved Valet Auto Strop Model C is doing front line double pass +duty. I got my hands on some carbon steel Feather SE blades and will be using the automatic stropping function to see how that works out.

I thought I had a good Shave yesterday with this Razor, but with only one days growth to deal with the Shave was incredibly smooth and the finish up there with my best ever.

 

I had a great shave this morning with the Gem Bumpless Micromatic Open Comb.

 

MMMonday, Aug2nd 2021

Razor: ASR Everready British 1912- Mfg 1936-53, excellent mid range, nice handle to grip, easy to work the face area.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(7) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Speick stick- nice spicy scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm tuxedo knot there is something about brush that is perfect for my face lathering, excellent lather generator. heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber, excellent painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: witch hazel + Lavada + a dollop of Nivea balm with HA.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper=excellent shave with my ER 1912 with a coated Gem blade.

Rather a shame that I have to move on in this Rotation, as Shaves with this Razor have all been exceptionally good. Any thoughts of moving this Razor on are now on the back burner.

 

ASRazor shave, Aug 3rd 2021

Razor: Everready streamline 2nd generation, Mfg 1949-53,upper mid range>, nice looking razor, well built, good shaves when technique is on.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (8) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely. predictable.
Soap: Speick, nice spicy scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Omega 10005 boar brush, great lather creator, soft tips, excellent scrubber + good painter.
Pre shave: Brush(Yaqi Cashmere) wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel + Lavada + a dollop of Nivea balm with 2 drops of HA.
Results: CCS, DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my ER streamline with a Gem coated blade.
