Razor: Ever Ready 1912 Made in England
    Blade: Gem SS (6)
    Brush: Graydog Oak
    Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CGF Ghost Town Barber
    Fragrance: Scuderia Ferrari Black
    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1001

This razor came in a lot purchase. It was in a Gem case but obviously an ER Made in England. It has and aluminum handle which I'm unsure of it being original or not but assume it was as it's in the same immaculate condition as the head. Mild shave with a narrow sweet spot. Pay attention to angle and a GREAT close comfortable shave. Have a GREAT day Guys !

SOTD WEDNESDAY MORNING, AUGUST 4, 2021

Last night my youngest grandson, Nate, age 3 1/2, and his mother stopped by. After he fell asleep, I convinced his mother to let him stay over. Sure enough, at 5:45 this morning, the little bugger was by the side of G-Pop’s bed whispering rather loudly, “are you sleeping?”. Shortly thereafter the two of us tiptoed past the side of the bed on which his smiling, supposedly sleeping grandma was laying and headed for the Shave Den.

I grabbed my Feather DX and unloaded the blade for Nate, and then grabbed my lovely old cast steel Boker and my Gillette FatBoy for myself. Nate loves to build lather, so I bloomed the MWF for him, handed him the Rearden Razor Tuxedo Synth brush, and together with both our hands on it built a prodigious amount of lather, much more than I usually would. I then lathered up his little face, and handed him the empty Feather DX and watched while he proceeded to shave his face, G-Pop’s knees and my poor little dachshund, Gromit’s back. We were apparently making a lot of noise according to grandma!

Nate then sat down on the floor and lifted Gromit up onto his lap while I started my mug shave. It was pretty funny hearing him explain to Gromit about my shave. Well, after three passes on the mug with the sweet little French Point Boker and two on the noggin with the Fatboy, yours truly was dolphin smooth. We then headed downstairs where Grandma had whipped up fresh blueberry pancakes, Nate’s favorite, for the two of us. Not a bad way to start the day!

RAZOR: Boker & Co. English Cast Steel French Point 5/8 (Mug), Gillette Fatboy (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: 316L SS Rearden Razor Tuxedo Synth
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with L’Occitane Cade AS Balm.

Thanks Joe and a little Google Fu and I found the handle is original to it. This and another aluminum shaped handle were found. The other was a "Bathroom Set"

Best wishes on the surgery being a success !

    I
know I said I was done with adjustables, but I had to determine if yesterday's rough shave
was a result of a bad blade; crappy lather or bad technique.
Today's lather is known only by its number: "3".
It has a barely discernible scent and the lather, while pretty darn slick, is almost
    as unstable as yesterday's.
The new Sharp Star in the Fat Boy (9) was a whole-lot smoother than Tuesday's shave.
Approaching lower-neck BBS and everywhere else is very smooth.
I have only a decant of this extrait de parfum:

I really enjoy the herbal aspects of this juice. Lots of patchouli---done right!
No "head-shop" smell, just oodles of green goodness.

Lovely fragrant shave report, Joseph. I have only a few tucks left from my 2012 Sharp Star stash. I do like the shave they deliver, even in my Fatboy, which is not my favorite adjustable! I’m glad your shave was better than yesterday’s! ;)

Encouraging news for today-my Swiss Arabian product is out for delivery. Just the other day it was still in Honolulu. It was scheduled to arrive on 7/31. Well, it wasn't that I was completely out of male perfumes-therefore I wasn't DESPERATE for it. This is the Mutamayez EDP.

    Feather Pro Guard blade (4)
    Dscosmetics synthetic brush
    Arko shave soap
    Stetson cologne

I had to hunt the Arko up. It took a while but I finally found it and pulled it from the back of the cabinet. I can tolerate Arko. It lathers great but the scent is just a turn off for me.

Another very nice Essence shave this morning. Three passes on the neck and two on the cheeks. The alum gave very little feed back this morning.

I think I'm going to take the training wheels off and load a Feather Professional blade in the morning.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.
