    Razor: Clark Improved King
    Blade: Gem SS (2)
    Brush: Rubberset 400/Oumo Boar
    Soap: Williams Shave Stick
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber
    Fragrance: Dragonsbeard EDP
    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1003

Forget who it was that told me the Improved King is more aggressive and the best shave but they are right on BOTH counts. The shave with this vintage just easily matched the best shaves I've had and can stand toe to toe with the Blackbird Titanium at a fraction of the cost to me. The bigger gap is noticeable and more blade feel for sure but a smooth and glorious shave was had. This vintage is just on another level compared to what's in the vintage Williams bowl soap I have. Not sure what's up with that but I love this stick.

So Jeff got in touch with me and told me about a razor that the person would not ship to him they had for sale if I was interested (Now I know another place he hunts his goodies [IMG]) It happens to be within 2 hours of me and I'm supposed to go get it this morning. Excited about this score. Hoping it doesn't fall thru........Dated 1898 or 1899. Thanks for the info and heads up on it Jeff (Jmudrick), I could hardly sleep !

Colibri (Hummingbird) with 1.30 open comb plate on Voevoda stainless steel handle by Homelike Shaving.
    Astra SP (?)
    Razorock 400 synthetic.
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap
Scottish Antique by Andy Hilfiger cologne.

What a morning! It felt like I was herding cats this morning trying to get out the door. I was feeling rushed so I opted to leave the Essence alone and brought out the Colibri.

Danny's tip for today......IF IN A RUSH LEAVE THE OPEN BLADE ON THE COUNTER.

I have missed the Colibri due to my focus on open blade shaving. The Colibri is probably my favorite DE in the den.

It was a glorious combination this morning with the MWF. Three very nice passes and the alum was silent.

Finished the shave with some witch hazel and the Scottish Antique cologne.

I hope everyone has a very nice Friday!

Actually, that's a good point....I was thinking it would mean, bordering on excellent and the next higher, but somewhere in the middle of the two. I'll review this and possibly make a change.

Drive by posting. The edge on this Mastro Livi feels like velvet. She has a lot of shaves on her since the last touch up but still as sharp and smooth as ever. With the heat and to keep the bugs away today's soap was Electric Sheep with a few drops of menthol. Looks like as is well in the 30DC thread.

I took my time shaving this morning basking in the glorious lavender scent by Music City Suds. I really went to town on the soap to create a nice, thick, creamy lather.
Max performed like he usually does with great focus and precision. Two and a half passes gave me a wonderful BBS shave. I think my shave took my 25 min from start to finish which is usually double my normal time. It was worth it. Btw, there wasn't any errors or issues during the shave. Topped the shave with the matching aftershave that just reinforced the marvelous lavender. Again, this was a great shave with Max. I am off to the gym. Have a great day guys!
