Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed. A wonderful 2 pass shave, that was very smooth, even ATG. This is a very well made, and extremely thin blade. Zero issues.

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap. (no.2)
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D2)
Razor: Parker 94r.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils +3 Menthol Crystals, Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Creightons Sensitive PSB./Milton Lloyd America Night EdT.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Maiden shave with the new HWF lanolin shaving soap (no.2) with Tea Tree & Lavender essential oils which is a great addition.

The essential oils gives the soap a mild medicinal scent with a wonderful post shave feel from the lanolin making my mature rhino skin feel superb...I will also be doing another maiden shave with the new (no.3) later in the week.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups comfort shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd America Night EdT to the pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The L'Occitane Shaving Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #414 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JT Sapele/Resin Handled Omega Pro48 Boar Knot
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme Balm.

Not quite a Grand Freeze but close - this Peppermint Lime is one of the nicest soaps Fernando makes - the scent is gorgeous, the lather is awesome, the menthol sensation is really strong - in fact I would rate it at 8/10 on my Menthol Scale so it’s right up there. The postshave feeling of this soap is wonderful as well. The Prep always gives me such great soothing, and the Alt Innsbruck not only smells lovely, it has lots of menthol in it. The Astra Green blade gave me one last hoorah with a terrific three pass BBS shave!

here is may Shave of the Day (08.08.2021)


Preshave: menthol Cube // Razor: Razorine V1 // Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium // Soap: Sapone da Barba Vegetale alla Mandorla // Brush: Alpha Outlaw clone // Aftershave: homemade Bay-Rum

Havn‘t used the Razorine for ages…so I thought today would be perfect to use it again. Absolutely no mistake…

Smooth and gentle after a few strokes where I had to adjust the angle of the blade and the handling itself. With this point it was great.

The soap smelled so good that I could eat it…wonderful. The lather was wonderful too. Nice cushion and glide.

After my shave I’ve used my homemade Bay-Rum. A bit on the sweeter side due to quite a bit of cinnamon and vanilla. The cloves are more muted. I like it a lot.

Well, the GD 208 just got back from being professionally honed. I only have a touch up stone and the pasted suede side of my strop for maintenance. First time in maybe five years? Nice smooth save. ATG definitely easier.



Followed up with healthy dose of Clubman Classic-very soothing.

 

A Gibbs brush!! Awesome Jorge! Definitely a unicorn in the brush world and not something you see often. Maybe even rarer than the Gibbs adjustable razor itself.

Have you been able to screw the knot off of it or is it seized up?

 

I was able to but mine has a crack in it and since the knot was good i glued the top and base together.
