    Greetings,

    Early morning shave.

It's been a while since i last added the Bathhouse soap to my shaving soap rotation and forgot how good of a lather this soap creates with the aid of a quick tepid water bloom....The performance is wonderful leaving a good post shave feel.
A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Boots Freshwood ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Working thru the modern razors I may or may not keep and this goes into the sale pile for a BST. Great shave and I like how the mass of it just goes right thru the hairs especially on the atg pass but I prefer my Gibbs adjustable. I am wanting to narrow down my modern razors I reach the most for and get rid of the rest. I'll focus more on the antique ones to collect and of course shave with too. Have a great day folks !

SOTD TUESDAY MORNING, AUGUST 10, 2021

Today’s shave featured my Wade & Butcher 7/8 and my SS Supply Injector. One of the things I truly enjoy about the 30DC thread at TSD is the camaraderie and friendships I’ve developed over the years there. People come and go, but there always seems to be a core self-selected group that carries on the mission of helping new wet shavers learn the tools and process of this wonderful hobby of ours, and for that I'm truly grateful. Helping others is its own reward, but the hijinks and shenanigans that are part and parcel really make it fun!

My MrEE Knurled Aluminum Handle Hybrid knot brush really did wonders building that first thinner, wetter lather I like for my mug shaves. I’ve been touching up all my straights with the new 9 Ball slate, and really like the edges which are then further refined through the 4-sided pasted Constroption and finished on my Roo-skin bench strop. The W&B’s refined edge swept away the facial stubble in three relaxed passes. This old girl knew her business and left your happy narrator’s face and neck oh-so-smooth!

I was recently gifted the new Parker adjustable injector V2 by my grandson after my discharge from rehab a couple of weeks ago. It’s a fine shaver, but even on it's most aggressive setting doesn’t get as close a dome shave as my faithful Supply Injector with the three dot plate. And this morning’s dome shave confirmed my assessment! When loaded with a Schick B-20 Proline injector blade it's the “bees knees” as my sainted grandmother used to say. Two ATG passes through the second thicker lather, and my dome is as smooth as my great-granddaughter’s behind!

RAZOR: Wade & Butcher 7/8 (Mug), SS Supply Injector (Dome)
    BLADE: Schick B-20 Proline Injector
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE Knurled Aluminum Handle Hybrid Knot #007
    CREAM: Nancy Boy Signature Scent
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Nancy Boy Signature Post Shave Balm.

The handle on that Parker looks particularly well-designed to prevent slippage. Another superlative shave and summary, Barry! Enjoy your day, and don’t work too hard! :)

Great shave, Dave! That was pretty much my decision as well with respect to my safety razors. Of course, I’m no longer purchasing them. I was recently gifted the new V2 Parker Adjustable Injector by my grandson, but that’s going. The only modern ones I’m keeping are the Karve, my 2 Colonial Razors (Silversmith & General), Rex Ambassador, and my Vector. Colonial is in the design process for a new much lower-priced aluminum DE model featuring a redesigned Silversmith head. The initial design looks very promising. I promised Kyle and Kirk that I’ll test the prototype on both mug and dome.

Newly acquired Conrad-B Altman/BIC. Not a mild razor, plenty of blade feel and efficiency. A little toothy. Will have to try a side by side with its Barbasol FH cousin. Used the Vib'Raz for a clean-up pass [IMG]

Nope, still no adjustable. Does a slant count?
Actually, this shave had a huge Italian contingency. The lather, the razor and the post-shave.
Outstanding lather with extra cushion and slickness and a scent that can't be beat.
    The hint of
menthol really is the icing on the cake.

I found a 30ml NOS of the Gucci, which I then decanted into the above-pictured bottle.
This juice is 45 years old and still rockin' the house.

I don’t know where you come across these incredible shaving tools, Jeff, but that is one beautiful razor! Love the handle! Looks almost like a modified Gillette SC baseplate. :happy088:

Plate is nothing fancy. I don't have one on hand but my guess is it's the same as Conrad used on the '33 Barbasol.[IMG]
