Veddy nice shave Dave! I am assuming that the Zingari Blacksmith is a very dark scent. Have a super day!

Thank you Joe...The Bathhouse soap does smell nice, very unique they do a few fragrances with matching EdT's, it's a triple milled soap so it lasts for ages. Enjoy your day.

    Yaqi shavette
    Feather ProGuard blade
Yaqi Evil Zebra 26mm synthetic brush
Fine Accoutrements Fresh Vetiver shave soap (vintage)
    Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger

Awesome lather this morning. Fine soaps always impresses me.

The Yaqi shavette is new to the den. It arrived yesterday and according to the reviews quality control is hit and miss. The finish on this one is great but the blade was loose in the closed position and binding in the open position. I added a couple of nylon washers to the pivot area and she is smooth. The razor appears similar to the IBC shavette.

I completed two very nice complete passes and three on the neck area. No blood loss and very little feed back from the alum. The shavette does a good job but is handle heavy.

I finished the shave with some witch hazel and the Irish Chestnut.

I'm at home today. I was running a fever last night and had a low grade fever when I got up. I just checked and my temp is almost back to normal.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.

Thank you Jeff...The parker 87r is wonderfully designed, and you're right the handle nurling with the additional weight is super grippy with no fear of slipping when shaving with it...As for work, I earn my wage, you have to in a steel mill. Take care. Yours - Barry.

It was a late morning shave for me. I decided to go with the Red Tip.
Everything went well, except a chin weep. Got a nice, comfortable 3 pass BBS shave. Postshave was with the usual two frontrunners and finishing with the Veg. Have a great day, guys!

Nice shave, Joe! You know, I have been critical of the Veg, but found an ancient bottle of the stuff, and, you know, it’s not as bad as I remembered. I could see using it now and then! :)

Dave in KY On second thought, Buttercup

I would not say it's a dark scent but actually has a sweetness to it. It is made as a homage to the EDT I used.
That stinks but sounds like you're on the upswing and hope you continue to mend Danny

Nice shave, Danny. Congrats on the new Yaqi shavette. You are becoming quite the master of open edge shaving. I hope you feel better soon, my friend.

Thanks Jeff! Some people take to the Veg right away while others disdain it after one application. I think there are some in the latter group that if they gave it a chance that the Veg. would become at least tolerable or maybe quite pleasant.
In my case, I did not like Stirling Glastonbury at first. However, I grew to like it after a number of shaves. Based on this experience, I found that it is possible to change one's perception of a scent.
