The regular version of MITA is a pretty cold soap indeed but this Glacial version has three times more menthol in it so you can imagine how frigid it would feel. The scent is the same - a lovely tropical/citrusy type, the lather is such a pleasure to work up - it’s so rich, slick, as well as protective, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is perfect. The Glacial Unscented balm, together with the Osage Rub aftershave were a great finish. What a brilliant BBS shave this was!

RAZOR: Ellis & Allan 8/8 Stubtail (Mug), Gem MMOC (Dome)
BLADE: Pella SS PTFE Gem
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JT Sapele/Resin Handled Omega Pro48 Boar Knot
SOAP: Fine Snake Bite
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Fine Snake Bite AS Splash.

Razor: Razorock 2nd Generation SS Lupo.72- Mfg 2021, excellent mid range, I just consistently knock off excellent shaves, easy to maneuver the face areas and under the nose. Worth every penny spent IMO. Might not be a daily driver for some folks?
Blade: Gillette Astra Superior stainless(4), excellent blade, Sharp & smooth with good longevity.
Soap: Ach Brito Lavada cream, mild lavender scented with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2band badger(Finest), excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. My skin enjoys cold water rinses.
Post shave: Ach Brito aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm with HA.
Results: CCS, DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Astra SS blade. (It does not get any better for this shave!).

Interesting razor this bakelite is. First off, the qc at this company sucked lol. There was a rough seam from where it came out of the mold on the base plate. I sanded both sides slightly to remove that. The other thing was this razor was stupid mild so i decided to change the top cap and install one from an old type and also one from a parts bin. The old type changed the shave immediately and it was in a good way. The brass cap made it slightly less mild but the old type felt better. I see why some wardonia and other bakelite razors went with metal caps vs all bakelite.
The soap isnt my favorite as it smells like those old school orange chewables. I hate that smells and i may have to move on from this soap.
