    fabulous wilkie face lather with the beechwood boar
    smooth 2 passer with the german aluminum tech/wilkinson combo
    clarins a/s to cap it off.

    Aventus is a nice scent, just a bit too rich for my blood. I prefer to spend my money on shaving tools! Great shave, Joseph! :)

    My vote is of course going to be for the Tedalus Essence, but I'm interested in how the Focus compares to it.

    If you loosen the three pins in the Focus's blade, it will take injector and DE blades.

    I will keep you posted on my thoughts. My initial impression with the Essence is wow, such beautiful craftsmanship and well balanced. I did my usual three pass shave with it this morning, go to post it shortly, but I easily could have been satisfied with just one pass using the Feather AC Pro. The three passes left my face very smooth with just a minor report from the alum. The jury is still out on whether the closeness obtained with the Essence rivals some of my sharpest straights and the MMOC and MMBT.

    My initial impression with the Essence is wow, such beautiful craftsmanship and well balanced. I did my usual three pass shave with it this morning. I easily could have been satisfied with just one pass using the Feather AC Pro. The three passes left my face very smooth with just a minor report from the alum. The jury is still out on whether the closeness obtained with the Essence rivals some of my sharpest straights and the MMOC and MMBT.

    Regarding the losing of the blade, I required a few attempts to get the blade positioned just right. It is definitely an ingenious design incorporating magnets to keep the blade and blade head together. No need to worry about any possible micro movements of the blade while shaving. I am looking forward to one more shave with the feather blade before moving on to a DE or an Injector blade.

    More information forthcoming.
