Thanks Joe....the "glacialness"(yes, I made that up)of the Stoylin soap is gone-perhaps helped by the cool Royal Copenhagen(cool meaning just that, as opposed to "groovy, far-out).

Got a bit off track today...got caught up in some discussion about the Gillette New Hybrid, whose magical qualities I'm considerably skeptical about but whatever..which led me to want to try out my Charcoal L2 and Short Comb together. Unfortunately I threw in the Trader Joe's cream into the mix. With my Tech cap (sold my Charcoal cap) the Charcoal was too bladey for my mood I guess, being distracted by the no lather behavior of the TJ cream.. Short Comb was easy enough as it always is and the Vib'Raz did its clean up job. Post shave feel with the cream is quite nice [IMG]

    Nice shave.
The only brushless cream that I use is Cremo and that is when I am shaving my head. I have Van der Hagen brushless cream and I use it as a preshave.

    Krissy Kross Safety Razor
    Schick Injector Blade (fresh)
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat Soap
    Rubberset 400 with Omega boar
    Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT

Awesome lather this morning. The pig beat the MWF into shape in no time.

I grabbed a razor I picked up a while back at a fleamall and throwed a Schick Injector Blade in it. The handle apparently pivots for storage. After I found the correct angle it is not a bad little razor. Three smooth passes with no blood loss and very little feedback from the alum.

I finished the shave off in the usual manner.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Is there any difference between the MWF soaps in the tan and in the white boxes?

Nice shave Danny. Pivot is to use as a straight shaver if desired. Quote from Patent papers :

"The above described razor has numerous advantages. The angular position of the blade holder may be adjusted so that the blade is in the same position as the blade of the ordinary safety razor, it may be adjusted to give the blade an angular position so as to permit a diagonal stroke in using the razor, or it may be adjusted so that the blade extends along the handle in a position similar to that of the blade of a straight razor. All of these adjustments are easily made without the necessity for loosening and then tightening securing devices. A blade may be easily and quickly removed from the holder and a new blade inserted."

It's a UK New (Long Comb type plate) with a safety bar. Some call it a Hybrid Tech but it doesn't really have anything to do with the Tech. Looks a lot like the Charcoal Gen 1 Level 1.

Mail call today from an order that I made with The Razor Company.

I got the matching aftershave for my Angora Midnighthe Lavender and Shannon's LE The Warrior which I bought to support someone in the community who has mesothelioma. All the proceeds went to that person. I "needed" the matching aftershave and I always wanted to try Shannon's soaps so it was a great opportunity for me. Also, I couldn't resist the free shipping on my order. Usually, The Razor Company has free shipping on orders over 10 dollars. Here are the pix. I opened the soap and it is like a reddish brown color and has a mold scent of baby powder. I am going to use it for this afternoon's shave. 20210814_131947.jpg 20210814_132040.jpg
