    Hi all.
Another shave with my Parker injector.
    20210822_202327.jpg
A 3 pass shave head and face this morning.
Did ok for an injector razor.
    No nicks, cuts or burn.

Now back to the old grind.
    Ready for the weekly shaves.

Thanks Jeff! I have to do a 3 pass headshave plus minor pickups to get cueball smooth. As for the face, I usually need 3 passes with a safety depending on the amount of stubble. With just a day's growth and an efficient safetyrazor loaded with a fresh blade, I can get a near BBS or BBS result on 2 passes.

I'm still hanging in there. Great shave this morning.

Colibri (Hummingbird) 0.80mm plate with Homelike Shaving stainless steel Voevoda handle.
    Voskhod blade (fresh)
    Simpson T3 Trafalgar brush
Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite soap....old formula.
    Royal Copenhagen cologne

The T3 did an excellent job with the Snake Bite this morning. I don't think you can beat the old formula Fine soaps.

The Colibri completed two very nice passes with a few touch ups.

I hope everyone is doing great and happy Monday everyone!

Fun times. New Improved, New Deluxe, Suneko blades, Trader Joe's cream. For the head shave I snapped the blades in half and shaved with two half blades on single side. Worked great here, comfortable and efficient with slight edge to the New Improved. Vib'Raz and Enders sat on the runway, easy BBS. Hat tip to Subie Shaves. [IMG]

SOTD MONDAY MORNING, AUGUST 23, 2021

Today’s shave was truly epic. My mug shave featured the razor that established my passion for Japanese straight razors. Early on my straight shaving journey I was very much caught up in vintage Sheffield and Solingen straight razors. My son, Ben, with over two decades of straight shaving experience had for some reason collected over 100 Japanese razors over the years. He had Sheffield and Solingen straights, but had limited that collection to certain selected brands of each. He gave me this Tanifuji Airi razor to try over a year ago and finished it on his jnats. That first shave with this special razor was my first ever straight razor whisker melting shave. He never got it back!

This mornings shave was a three pass repetition of the usual with this razor. It always leaves my face so smooth that I find myself reaching up and touching it over the course of the day. Ben officially made it my birthday present last February. The first thing I noticed about it was the blade shape. Ben explained that this style of blade is referred to as a shaving sword. It was my first Japanese silver steel razor. I’ve been shaving off that original edge for well over a year. My noggin shave was every bit as good. The one hundred one year-old Gillette “Big Fellow” cleared away my noggin stubble in the usual two ATG passes. I feel clean and porcelain smooth from the neck upwards!

RAZOR: Tanifuji Airi (Mug), Gillette Big Fellow (Noggin)
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE Knurled Aluminum Handle Hybrid Knot #007
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Alt-Innsbruck.
