I never find anything decent in the wild. One tech in great condition for 8 bucks 10 years ago was about it.
Today I landed a Fatboy in the case for $24.50 and an Old Spice mug for $2.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it.
    It's an F1 date code so a 1960 Fatboy.
I have two D code executives and two E code Fatboys, so I'll likely be selling one of the E code fatties.
I've heard some say they find the 60s Fatboys more desirable... don't know why. Anyone got an opinion on that one?

Wow, nice steals...I mean deals. Best price I've seen on one of those Old Spice mugs was $20.

There are some revisions to how they manufactured them depending the date code.
    https://gilletteadjustable.com/fatboy/

With that said I've owned at one point a Fat Boy for every year they were dated coded except for an Hx dated coded one and never noticed an appreciable difference in performance for each.

I've not noticed a difference either...
Though I do find my Executives to be a bit more mild.

That is correct. Besides the different knurling both are not equivalent for gap settings at the same dial number. Usually a good rule of thumb if Gillette sold 2 razors concurrently if there is any manufacturing differences besides the finish they won't perform the same.

Well done! I am no longer a fan of vintage razors but that is a great score.

Wow, that’s a fantastic find! Every Fatboy I’ve spotted in the wild seemed to be with a seller who knew the value, or thought they did — most of them over $75.
