You're like me on the passes...sometimes I feel it was a good enough shave after the one, but I do another anyway.

Great Sunday shave, Jeff! I have never had a bad shave with my Herder. They are truly remarkable razors.

If he wants to borrow it, then he can. I am willing to make the sacrifice and use my R102, my Schick E2, my Fatboy or my 2 Rockwells to shave my dome.

 

I always do at least 2 passes regardless of the razor. However, if I want a BBS shave with a DE, then I sometimes need that third pass.

If you are referring to the soap, it has a healthy scent. The ASB actually is the same scent, but doesn't have much staying power.

I had a very busy day entertaining. However, I made sure I started my day with a shave that my grandfather would have loved. Today is his birthday. He would have been 108.

Old Spice is the scent that I would remember him wearing most of the time. Sometimes he would throw on a spritz of Aramis.

Naturally, I reached for. My Stirling Spice/B & M Reserve Spice combination to bring me down memory lane. My grandfather would always use a DE, hence, my birth year Red Tip.

Three passes is my norm. I do no believe my grandfather took the time to do a three pass even though his beard was heavier than mine.

The end result was a super smooth shave and a get smell for part of the day.
