Good shave today except for a couple misses, along NW Porcupine Alley, and the same area I missed yesterday(jawline, right side). I need to fix those mistakes tomorrow, as well as a better job of attacking the ingrown area(NE Cactus Nation). Real nice along the cheeks and sideburn areas(but for the first mentioned miss). 2 passes with the nice Central Texas Soaps. Shoulda done a third, if only to get those missed spots. The Aqua Velva provided a nice close to a Rather Excellent shave. That's 3 areas to focus on tomorrow.

I guess you would consider the my first official day of being a member of the MOLC. Today, my past colleagues returned to work for their first Superintendent’s Conference Day and all the paraphernalia that goes with it. During the time that I would be normally driving to work, I was enjoying a cup of coffee by the pool.

This mornings shave featured Lakewood Soap Company’s Prairie Song. While I have never visited the Great Plains, I would imagine that this soap and balm captures some of the scents of the region. I find this soap to be extremely slick. IMHO, it would give any top tier artisan soap a run for it’s money.

The soap + the MMBT = Shave Nirvana. Need I say more, I don’t think so. Three passes for the win.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Paul, nice shave. I just want to say that you really should not miss any spots. After my "last pass, I rinse my face with warm water to clean the soap off my face. As I am doing it, I am feeling where I missed and remember those areas. Hit it with the lather and hit it against the grain or accross the grain, depending how rough the patch is on your face or neck. I am assuming that you shave by taking off all the lather by going with the grain on the first pass and then either across or against the grain on your second pass. If you are just doing 2 passes with the grain, then you will have unshaven patches. Again, there is not any reason to forget every area by feeling what you missed and reshave the area with lather. In other words, complete the shave. Take care.

Thank you Joe...I need to get in the habit of re-checking, when "finished". Charlie has advised me on "misses" too, but your comments are like Charlie's on steroids. Much appreciated.
