The rubber band stuff sounds fun. I remember when Obama came into office though that a lot of CWP instructors started using pellet guns with blowback when getting people ready to get their permit because ammo was already starting to go up in price but the pellets were rather inexpensive..I think less than 10 bucks for 500 pellets. And the blowback accurately simulated a real weapon.. I have one and it can be rather fun to shoot at targets with.. Another good thing is that I don't have to go out in public to a range to fire it since we are still in the middle of all this mess with the virus.... If they are legal in your jurisdiction they are worth looking into. There are also several rifles that are good too. One brand that's pretty good is a Beeman with multi barrels . One barrel is .177 cal and the other barrel is for .22 cal pellets so you don't need multiple rifles for the different calibers you only need the changeable barrels... Well have fun...
