Nice shave Jason! Your ears must have been ringing because your name was brought up at the LI 30DC meetup this morning. Lol!

I figured that the car was done, but at least you are not. I like all sizes in straight razors. Although I never experienced a 4/8 razor, I feel that it is too small for me because I do not want to constantly rinse/dry off the razor during the shave. Hey, it is all good.

Wow. I’m glad Sam’s partner was there to help. I’m sorry about the car but it can be replaced. Take care and stay safe.

Beautiful day here on LI. I had a wonderful shave which preceded a great breakfast with Joe, @Trigger. We had another 2+ hour meet up. We never seem to run out of topics to discuss related to wetshaving, education and other current issues.
I am super smooth following a three pass with the Taylor 1000. I won this razor in a raffle this past April purchasing “pizza slices” totaling $12. What a score for such a great razor.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Sorry to hear that the car is totaled Jeff. You could get some Midnight Stag to give you the gasoline and oil scent to supplement the new Tesla. :happy097:

Great score and a great shave, Joe! I think I may be on a Swedish razor kick! That little Tornblom is amazingly sharp and smooth! Glad you guys had fun! My sister’s cottage on the cliff in Wading River has a number of issues after Ida! Enjoy your MOLC-dom!

    Which Hawks do you have?

I was going buy a Blackland Vector but got impatient with ‘no stock’ and didn’t want to invest in 400+ in titanium.

I bought the Hawk V3A. So far so good. Used Schick Proline, Feather ProGuard and Feather Professional. I later read somewhere that the writer thought the original V3 plate was more aggressive than the A and the OC was king on aggression.

Yes, it is always a great meetup between us! I guess 120 + yrs of experience between us helps to keep the conversation going. Also, the waitress that served us was much better than the one we had the last time. And yes, you had an awesome shave with a nice razor that you purchased for very little money. Kudos to you, Joe!
