I've bought some, but they haven't been restored yet, and would be embarrassing to post, in their present state. But, I've been slowing down too.
I have a new razor arriving from Andrey of Gipson Razor in the Ukraine. I love my SK3, and contracted with Andrey to build a modern homage to the Japanese SK series of smiling razors. This is what it looks like. It’s on its way to me now! Looking forward to shaving with it. It will be the widest blade razor in my collection. He named it the ”Katsumi” 14/13 half hollow
Thanks, Scott, this is a shave to which I am looking forward! Andrey is also a big fan of the Saito SK series of Japanese razors.
Congratulations Jeff, first picture I thought that I had some faults with my eyes but after a more looks on it, it is quite cool. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Thanks, Tom! I haven’t found my SK3 to be any more difficult to use, but this razor does have a more exaggerated smile. So I’ll just have to wait and see.
Andrey said, “Yes, it is a very tricky razor to make. In this razor it is very laborious to make the spine. With such a very strong smile on the blade, it is also very laborious to make the concavity.”
