Fine shave this morning. Nice to bring out Stoylin Sandpiper again(SS&AS). The AS is getting a little low, proving that you need 2 AS'(if not more)for each SS. 0:45 to load the Crown King brush, and I should have spent at least a minute on it. A "Dolphin Fine Shave" was had by this writer. I did get a couple cuts, but the aftershave helped calm them some, The only area where I felt I could have done better was the spot just to the left of the ingrown hairs. I kinda don't want any MORE ingrowns, so I'll focus on that spot tomorrow.Pleased overall. Will come back tomorrow(and maybe Monday) with same. Mutamayez cologne to close.

Sorry about the rough shave, Paul. You haven't had one in quite awhile so you were due. I find that my Stirling aftershaves do survive the corresponding soap as well. It is ok with me because I would use them with mildly scented or unscented soaps.Take care.

Fed X just passed by my window. I don't know why, as I didn't order anything. (chuk yuk yuk). Actually, I AM waiting for a delivery, but I just ordered it yesterday, so I don't expect it for a week or so.

I purposely picked this gear because it has a Navy (Marines are under the authority of the Sec. of the Navy) theme that would be an appropriate tribute to our new Marine Pvt. Myles Wilson wbo finished the final 54 hr field test, the Crucible. He got his Eagle, Globe and Anchor this morning signifying his transition from recruit to Marine. Congratulations Myles! We at the 30DC are proud of you!

The shave went well. Shannon's soap really gives a great lather, but you have to add water in small increments. The scent has a baby powder with a cocoa note as at the back end. This is the first time that I used the 7 o'clock blade in a shavette. I have used the blade for my headshave and it was great so I was not expecting anything differently with it in a shavette.
It gave me a nice, near BBS shave in 2 passes. Did get a small weep on my left cheek, but it was gone with cold water and then hit it with the alum to make sure.
Finished the shave in the usual manner by ending it with witch hazel and then the Old Spice.
Again, Congrats @myles wilson Private Myles Wilson USMC!
    Have a great day gents!
