Awesome razor. Looks fantastic. It’s really cool to have a prototype. The head looks much more interesting then the production razor. Steve

Thank you Steve. It's still very exciting for me to own and occasionally use this razor as it represents the very beginning of the Schick razor company. Here is what @BBS said to me regarding this particular razor a while back... Aside from the head design, there are a few differences between this and the production model Type A razors. 1) When rotated in the shaving position the blade is locked in place from below by a cam like action vs. a top down spring action. Although probably not intended, this allows the blade exposure to be adjusted. 2) Top cap is screw on vs. press on. 3) Entirely plated brass construction making it a heavyweight at 132 grams vs. brass head with alloy body at 60 grams. As far as the internal pieces, the spring and blade banks are the same as a production models and interchangeable.

Sunday morning: L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Gillette day 12 Vi John Menthol SC Prep ASB Mennen Skin Bracer AS Splash It’s been around three years since I last used this Vi John Menthol cream and I think I’ll wait another three years before I use it again. It’s nowhere near as good as the regular version which Mo sent me. Ok, it lathers great, but the scent is weird - sort of like a cheap incense, the menthol sensation is so subdued that you can barely feel it, and it’s not that skin friendly compared to the regular kind. The Prep took good care of my postshave needs, and the Skin Bracer aftershave not only smells so old school and nice it feels so good on my face. Another great shave albeit rather hurried. Have a good Sunday - be well and safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
