SOTD Sunday September 12 PAA Tube 2.0 Preshave PAA CaD PAL Injectomatic with Chick blade (2nd use) Echolly synthetic brush Used the leftover cream in the brush as a post shave. I decided to try and use a different soap today. I do not have the CK-6 version of CaD but I have read that if you use the Tube preshave you can make it into a CK-6 version of the soap. I had forgotten just how nice this soap is. I really need to get a CK-6 version of a PAA soap. I learned today that with this razor I really only need 2 passes and some touch ups. I started feeling a little irritation as I wrapped up the second pass and just decided to stop there and do touch ups. It worked out well - much less irritation than last time. I cannot tell you just how much I am enjoying this razor. It just works really well for me. This was the second time I used an injector and last time around I didn’t really study how to use it and just wasn’t satisfied with it. I did more research this time and now that I know how to use it, I’m very happy with the results I’m getting.

Mon 13th September Stirling Syn. 26mm Officina Artigiana ER Streamline Gem S/S [ 1 ] Officina Artigiana A/S Lotion Back on the Vintage SE rotation after going modern for speed yesterday. The Streamline is my favourite, but for the first time when using a fresh blade it felt rather harsh during the Shave. However, it certainly gets close and I managed to avoid mishap, though I admit to not pushing it around one part of my chin that always presents a problem.
MMMonday,SEptember 13th 2021 Razor: Gem Micromatic clog Pruf(Peerless 17 nib SB model),Mfg 1945, excellent mid range, built to last generations, great razor to use when blade use count gets high or any time. Brass construction and Micromatics where way ahead of the competition for TTO at first introduction 1930. Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(9) excellent blade, Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable. Soap: Ogallala Bayrum with sage & cedarwood. nice scent with a little clove, great lather qualities. I Load soap with damp brush from my bowl more pastier and then wet the face apply and wet as needed seems to work the best, total bowl lathering with it is finicky I have found. Nice soap regardless. Brush: Yaqi 24mm Artic sky knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter. Pre shave: brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. Post shave: Ogallala Bayrum with Sandal wood + a tiny dollop of CeraVe balm.(great stuff + scentless) Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Micromatic Clog Pruf (Peerless model) and a coated Gem blade. Have some great shaves!
I had a great shave with the Gem Featherweight deluxe today. Oddly when I first started shaving with SEs I couldn't stand the look of the Featherweight. Now I love the way it looks. Interesting how tasts can change over time
Tue 14th September RazoRock 400. SE-Plissoft noir Vitos Super Red ER " Streamline" Gem S/S [ 2 ] Tuff Green A/S Lotion A much nice Shave today as the blade has mellowed. I was able in fact to use the Razor/Blade combo without mishap in all areas, to get a supremely close all round finish. A great Razor that requires a really light touch or you may be in trouble.
