  17. Tuesday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Gillette day 14
    Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS
    Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB
    B&M Arctique AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel Parfum

Has anyone ever tried shaving with their eyes almost closed? Well, that’s what happened to me this morning because the menthol fumes from all the Stirling Glacial soaps are so powerful that they make your eyes start tearing. The Glacial Electric Sheep soap smells so beautiful - exactly like the regular version which is a blend of lemon, citronella, and eucalyptus but the Glacial version blasts you with tons of intense menthol, the lather works up perfectly - it’s so rich as well as mega slick, the freeze hits you like a sledgehammer, and the mutton tallow formula promotes such great skincare. The Glacial Unscented balm is icy cold also, it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing, and just a small amount is required. I’m going to really miss the Arctique aftershave because I finished my bottle and it’s no longer available. What a super duper BBS shave this was despite the fourteenth and last day for this Gillette blade!

Be well and safe - enjoy your shaves!

  19. Oh, I thought that was a cologne..seeing that you spray it-that is, unless the idea is to spray it into your hand and tap your face and neck a few times.

  20. ASRazor shave Tue, SEptember14 2021

Razor: Everready 1912 British variant- Mfg 1936-53, excellent mid range, favorite handle design with the extended corners of the hexagon chained art design makes for excellent grip (more concentration on the shave instead of slipping) nice design & built to last.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) excellent blade, great longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum with sage & Cedarwood nice scent + great lather qualities, I find loading the soap pastier out of bowl works the best, to much water at start give a more airy foam lather. Great soap when figured out procedure regardless.
Brush: Yaqi 2band badger Mountain lake(Finest badger), excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Aloe Vera Gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: witch hazel skin cleaning + Ogallala Bayrum with sandal wood + a dollop of CeraVe balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG]Excellent shave with my ER British 1912 with a coated Gem Blade.
