Praying and confident that everything will turn out well, Joe. It will be great to have this behind you so that you can more fully enjoy the things you like to do.

You could have at least used some Tabac this morning. It is close to scent-free and would probably speed up the healing process. ;)

I am dedicating this shave to Joe Carbone because he is having shoulder surgery today. I decided the appropriate soap would be Stirling Spice. The brush is my 1A and now that I have dialed in this brush, it gives a great lather.
This razor is still sharp because it easily treetops my arm hair. Thus, I only needed 2 passed to get a BBS shave without any blood or irritation. There was hardly any feedback from the alum block so that tells me that I had a very nice, comfortable shave. After the witch hazel application, I splashed on the Spice aftershave and there was very little burning. All I can say is that I had quite a good shave. Have a super day!

    AoS Oud~~Simpson PL8~~Barbasol Floating Head/Voskhod~~Gucci Guilty Absolute
Yesterday, I shaved with my AS/D2 and while it was a good shave, it was only when I began
my shave with the Barbasol, was I compelled to compare the two razors.
First, any great shave requires a great lather, and the AoS, in tandem with my PL8 created a gorgeous goo.

This is after the first pass/ You can see there's enough lather to shave a basketball team.

The Barbasol is much heavier than the Feather, so my technique adjusted to the lightest setting,
vis-à-vis pressure. ZERO pressure is required with the FH. Secondly,
the correct angle is MUCH easier to find and maintain with the FH. I found the optimal
blade "feel" just-above the scalloped safety bar.
The Voskhod blade is was on its second shave and seemed right at home in the FH.
Very smooth results with no issues at all.
It's my practice to "clean" the residual soap from my skin with a healthy splash of unscented Witch Hazel,
followed by a light application of Thayer's aftershave balm. This is a very nice product.
My scent for today is from house Gucci:

You'll notice a small vial of Cambodian Oud. I applied that oil as well.

This juice has a medicinal, quasi bandaid accord, which can be typical of some western Ouds.
The Cambodian Oud oil really sets a fantastic foundation from which the Gucci can shine.

This little (22mm) TGN knot is still a great knot...it is also the oldest brush I have in the rotation. It was the 2nd brush I ever made, if memory serves.
I enjoyed the run with the Katana these past 4 shaves. Onto another SE for tomorrow. Haven't pulled out a GEM style SE yet during this month's focus, so I think I'll rectify that in the morning.
    Have a great day all.
