Yes, many of us are using these and other 3D designs. Just like any other razor, YMMV. I love the ones I've received from @twhite @SlimGem and others.
My first shaving acquisitions of 2022 were gifted by my son yesterday, Saturday 1st. Firstly a 3D printed case to house my SE Adjustable, and secondly a V2 Raptor both designed by Roger Quintero @SlimGem
Wow! The quality looks great, Arthur! I think you'll appreciate V2 without the front blades-guards. Happy New Year!
Starting Monday, I will be using two 3D printed tools, the Taipan Razor and my new SlimGem synthetic brush, both printed by Roger Quintero.
Here's an old design that's been collecting dust. I've been asked several times to design a razor that takes Injector, Artist Club, or halved DEs. But designing and 3d printing razors for small blades can be a bit challenging for me. This one looks promising. This razor is designed for AC blades and it will have multiple plates of different efficiency. I haven't done any test prints since it is far from final.
1.13.22 SOTD Today's 3D Printed shave was fantastic. Soap: Noble Otter- Barrbarr Brush: 3D Printed Synthetic Bowl: 3D Printed Razor: 3D Printed Multi-Plate Adjustable Blade: Feather Artist Club PRO After-shave: Noble Otter- Barrbarr
3D SOTD Just testing a DE version of my previous post. This one uses halved DE blades and also has multiple plates with different efficiency. The next version will be for injector blades. At some point, I'll have all three complete and if they're not too much of a hassle to print, I'll add them to my Thingiverse page.
Rodger, Awesome engineering in Razor World IMO. You are very good in detail, it is amazing what 3D printing can crank out.
Thank you for your kind comment. This 3d printing stuff is a little enhancement to the hobby for sure. But really, if I'm not posting about plastic stuff, it's because I'm really enjoying the SEs from yesteryears. The simplicity and performance of any old injector are really something to admire.
Wow.... did you actually print that case? How are you able to print the hinges so that they work properly. That's amazing. I'm completely gob smacked. I didn't know that this sort of detail was possible with 3D printing!! And i presume that tyne beautiful razor is 3D printed as well! Is it possible to buy one. I would love to try it. It looks amazing
